~ Jacob POV ~

I wanted to sprint away, to take the stairs ten at a time and race out the door, but my feet were heavy as iron. My body was more tired than it had ever been before. I shuffled down the stairs like a crippled old man.

I stopped at the bottom step to gather my strength to head out the door. Rosalie was on the sofa infront of the fireplace, her back to me, cooing and to the blanket wrapped things. she must have heard me but ignored it, being caught up in her stolen motherhood. Maybe that was her plan all along, Bella would never be back to take the poisonous creatures away from her.

My strength came back to me as I pictured those bloodsucking things. Strength, heat and red-heat washed through my head. Burning.
Rosalie was completely absorbed in the creatures, paying no attention to me. She wouldn't be quick enough to stop me. Sam had been right, the things were an aberration-it's existence went against nature. Those soulless demons.

Something's that had to be destroyed.
It seemed like a pull had not been leading me to the door after all. I could feel it now, encouraging me, tugging me forward. Pushing me to finish this. To cleanse the world of this abomination.
Rosalie would try to kill me when those creatures were dead, but I'd fight back.

All I cared about was my own justice. My revenge. the things that killed Bella would not live another minute longer.
I could hear the tiny beats of their hearts.
Only a second had passed as I made these easy decisions.
The trembling was getting tighter and faster. I cooked myself preparing to spring at the blond vampire and rip those creatures away from her with my teeth.

Rosalie cooed and murmured to one of the monsters, while the other stood up and propped at her shoulder.

Perfect. The new position for my strike. One down, another one to go. I leaned forward and felt the heat beginning to change me while the pull toward the killer grew-it was stronger than I ever felt it before, so strong it reminded me of an alphas command, like it would crush me if I didn't obey.
This time I wanted to obey.

The murderer stared past Rosalie's shoulder, its gaze more focused than any other newborn creatures should be.
Warm-green eyes, the exact same eyes rumored to be Edwards human eyes.
My shaking jerked to a stop. Heat flooded through me, stronger than before. It was a new kind of heat, not burning.
It was glowing.
Everything inside me came undone as i stared at the tiny porcelain face of the half human half vampire baby. All the lines that held me to my life were sliced apart into swift cuts, like clipping that made me who I was-my love for the dead girl upstairs, my love for my father, my loyalty to my new pack, the love for my brothers, my hatred for enemies, my home, my name, my self-disconnected from me in that second
snip snip snip and floated up into space.i was now left drifting. A new string held me where I was.

Not one string but a million. not strings but steel cables. A Million steel cables all tying me to one thing-to the very center of the universe.
I could see that now, how the universe swirled around this one point.

The gravity of earth no longer tied me to the place where I stood
It was the baby girl perched on the blond vampire girls arm that held me now.
