Noelle was doing her usual jogs around the block when all of a sudden she spotted a familiar face, it was Bradley. Bradley and Noelle had been together for a year and Noelle still had the hearts for him. She thought she had gotten over him until she saw him again, around the block.

"Bradley Malone"

"My, my, my, Noelle Mason. You still look beautiful" Bradley said.
"I'm not going to change anytime soon. Its been a while, what are you doing here?" She asked while reaching to give him a hug.

"Well, I'm moving in four doors away from you. I was just checking out the neighborhood, you still jog?"

"Yea, gotta keep fit. Anyway I need to continue jogging, see you around"

"Uhm Elle, can I take you out for lunch on Monday? Just to catch up"

-Noelle's POV-

I froze.

I was about to resume jogging until I heard those words

Can I take you out for lunch?

Bradley Malone, my ex, who I thought I still loved

I turned around and stared at him

Should I say yes? Should I say no? Should I tell him about Nick?

"I mean its cool if you don't want" he said "I'll understand"

No dammit that's where you're wrong! I want to its just-

"Elle?" He chuckled.

Gosh those dimples though

"Uhm yea, yea we can go for coffee, when, what time?" I asked

"How about 3pm? On Monday at Sally's strong beans. We'll walk together after school, well that's if you don't mind" He smiled.

I can't say no to that!

"Okay Monday then, see you around" I smiled and continued jogging.

On the way I couldn't help but think about Bradley, or if we stood a chance.

I quickly got home, took a shower and dialled Jen's number

"Elle?" I could hear the sadness in her voice

"Jen? What's wrong?" I asked

"I can't tell you over the phone, how quick can you get here?"

"Give me twenty minutes" I said.

Jen was always so jolly

She has been my pillar of strength since day one.

When my mom got arrested she was there, she knew how to make me smile and I knew that Joshua was really lucky to have her.

But now, I had to be her pillar of strength

I got to her crib with a box of chocolates, just to cheer her up, even though I didn't know the problem.

As I walked up to her room I could hear her sobbing

"This isn't the Jen I'm used to" I thought

"Jenny? Boo?"
