"What did you do?!" Exclaimed Shadow, staring at KL with widened eyes. His expression was hard to read and I couldn't tell whether he was surprised or scared.

Confused as to what they were talking about, I looked at Shadow.

KL looked down at her hands. "I-I-I don't know. I just did what worked from beforehand and-"

"What are you guys even talking about?" I asked, irritated.

"You were unconscious. From the looks of it, she woke you up. This is just....unbelievable,"Shadow replied in awe, staring at KL in wonderment .

"I woke you up again," KL added in.

"Woke me up from what exactly?"

"You got another headache...," KL said.

"And you passed out," added Shadow. " In front of both of us."

Looking down at my hands, I sighed. "Again?" Frustrated, I put my face in my hands.

KL put her hand on the side of the lab table I was sitting on. "Yeah, again."

I looked up at Shadow who began to inch in from the doorway. Flustered, I sighed. "I don't understand," I nearly whispered to myself. "What's wrong with me?"

Shadow walked over and stood next to KL, and underneath my cool surface I was starting to become claustrophobic. Everyone was a little too close to me for my liking. He glanced over at KL. "Honestly, I have no idea what you did, but whatever it was, it worked."

Lily came in from the back room of the lab with a test tube in hand. A content looking Nox walked in behind her, but as soon as they saw that I was up, they both stopped in their tracks.

"Wait, when did he wake up? You should've informed us!" Exclaimed Lily.

"Actually," said Shadow, "he just woke up. It seems as though Ms. Kiyano had something to do with it."

"What do you mean?" Asked Lily, furrowing her dark eyebrows. Nox handed me the test tube and said, "Here, drink this. You need vitamins." I winced at the thought of having to drink this goopy, thick, dark green liquid, but decided to do so without hesitation. There was enough going on, so I decided not to put up a fuss about the 'essential' vitamins that I supposedly needed.

When no one answered her, Lily looked towards KL and asked, "What did you do?"

"I just put my hands on his temples, and this force, this power began to radiate through me. Before I knew it, he was awake. I don't know how it happened or what I did, but I must've triggered something."

"You don't say," joked Nox.

"We need to get her tested. Immediately," said Shadow to Nox and Lily. He had a certain sternness in his eyes, as if he knew something was up.

"We won't have the lab ready until tomorrow," replied Lily. "We have to clean up the area."

" Tomorrow?" Asked Shadow.

"Yes, unless you want to do it really late tonight. I have to file some things and prepare the test."

"Well then tomorrow it is, Miss Kiyano. We will find out where you scale out. You seem to have extraordinary powers from the looks of it," he said, motioning towards KL.

"Umm, okay,"replied KL. I could tell that KL was a bit hesitant to do this, but she complied.

Nox walked over to the screen that was reading off my vitals. He looked through numbers and different charts and then looked from me over to Lily. "His vitals have been stable for a while now. Do you think that it's safe to let him go?"

Lily questioned this for a few seconds. As she walked over to the screen, she spoke to Shadow. "Do you think it's been long enough, Master? We just gave him an extract and his vitals have been the same for the last three hours."

"Let him take a walk. He needs some fresh air. KL would you care to accompany him?"

"Uh, sure," she replied, unenthusiastically.

"Please bring him back when you're done," said Shadow.

KL nodded her head yes, and I followed her out of the lab.

I walked beside her, and she looked up at me and smiled, "Hey, nice to see that you're awake."

"Thanks to you," I said, smiling.

" Yeah. We were all worried about you." We walked in silence for a few moments until she said," You have a really good support system here."

"Yeah, we're all family here."

We walked across the entrance and began our way down the hallway when suddenly, the doorbell rang. KL and I looked at each other and turned around to the entrance. I stood in front of her, making sure that if there was a threat outside, I'd get hit and not her. As I opened the door, the first thing I noticed was that the rain was pouring down so hard that you couldn't see through it. The second thing I noticed was that this person was not welcome here. Pushing the door shut, the force from the other side shoved it back opened.

"Wait!"

"No, why should I? I can't believe you even have the audacity to show your face here after what you did. You're not welcome here," I spat.

"Wait! Please, just give me a chance" he begged.

"No!"

"Please! I traveled for miles in the pouring rain just to get here!"

" Well you need to turn around and go home."

I felt a hand on my shoulder and as I looked down at KL she said, " Kratos, let me handle this."

She spoke up, "What is it Jagger? Why are you even here?"

"How did you even get in here? This is a hidden area!" I added.

" I came to warn you. There's more people who know about this place. There's dangerous people who know about this place and are plotting against you."

"And why should we trust anything you say, especially after what you did to Seth?" KL asked him.

" I just thought I should warn you as a way to pay for my mistakes."

"It was a mistake for you to come here," I shot back.

"Well I'm sorry," he said.

All of a sudden a voice spoke up behind us, "Oh, there you two are. And who's this?" Shadow looked over at the green-eyed Jagger, and I couldn't help but remember that his eyes had been crimson the last time that I saw him. This boy had many peculiar aspects to him. "Please, come in," said Shadow. "You must've come a long way. Please come in and dry up."

Jagger took the offer and stepped inside. His hair and clothes were soaking wet, and dripping all over the floor. "Thank you so much, sir," he said kindly.

"Of course. Head down this hallway, and I'll give you a dry towel," said Shadow to Jagger.

I shot Shadow a face to which he shot me a confused expression.

" You have no idea what you just did," I said, glaring darts into his eyes.

"Why?"

" You just invited a murderer into our house," I said. As I broke the long glare off, I shouldered my way past him and angrily made my way to my room. Whether people fed off of innocence or ignorance was a question to be answered some other day.
