Janae POV:
Ta'day I'm goin' by Aug and MeMe's house ta tell ha I'm movin'. We leavin' next week so I gotta tell ha. I've been too busy ta say sum'n' ta ha bout it. When I ring tha doorbell, August answered
August: "Hey Nae"
Me: "Hey Aug"
August: "She's in tha kitchen. I gotta go"
I walk off and I hear tha doe close. When I go in tha kitchen, MeMe is eatin'...all kinds of shit. Like...tha whole damn counter is full of food...
Me: "Mariah"
Mariah: "Sorry. I'm juss really, really, really hungry"
Me: "I see. You ain't full yet?"
Mariah: "Nah. But wassup? Was did you have ta tell me?"
Me: "Oh yea. We're movin'"
Mariah: "Where?"
Me: "Ta Houston. He wanted ta moved back. We leavin' next week"
Mariah: "I'm glad you said sum'n' cuz otha wise...I woulda been curious. Houston is dope tho"
Me: "I know right. Na ta you. Wassup wit all tha food?"
Mariah: "Well...there's only one possible reason. I've been throwin' up fa tha last two weeks. But I'm 45 years old. Even I know I'm too old fa anotha beybe...otha people dat get pregnant at dis age feel differently...but dats how I feel. If I knew moe than three kids was in my future...I woulda done all dis in my twenties..."
She ate a donut and I took tha box and closed it
Mariah: "Hey! Those were mine"
Me: "*laughs* You have any pregnancy test?"
Mariah: "Yea. At least ten"
Me: "Well use all of'em"
Mariah: "I'm not a waterfall, Nae"
Me: "Well...I was watchin' Don't Be Tardy... tha otha day. And she pee in a plastic cup and dipped tha test in it. And I know Aug has some around hea' cuz he always got a cup in his hand"
Mariah: "*laughs* Good idea"
She opens tha pantry doe and takes out a plastic cup. She walks out and closes tha doe. We go upstairs ta dey room and go in tha bathroom
Me: "Beautiful bathroom" I said leanin' on tha sink
Mariah: "Thank you"
Me: "Y'all haven't had sex in hea', right?"
She looked at me
Mariah: "Yea. On dis sink actually"
I moved fast as hell
Me: "Eww. Okay. Juss give me tha boxes"
She laughs and I grab tha boxes. I walk out closin' tha doe behind me. Afta like...what felt like an hour, she came out
Mariah: "My bad. I was talkin' ta myself in tha mirror"
I juss laugh. I walk in tha bathroom wit tha sticks and we dip'em then put tha cap on. She emptied tha cup, flushed tha toilet, put tha cup in tha trash and tied it.
Mariah: "Dis is gonna take fa'eva" She said washin' ha hands
André: "Mama!"
MeMe jumped a lil
Me: "Calm down" I said laughin'
Mariah: "My bad. Yes, hon?"
He walked in and seen tha sink
André: "What's dat?"
Mariah: "Umm. Nun. Why you yell? You scared me"
André: "I'm hungry. Annnnd...you ate all my stuff"
Mariah: "I'm sorry. Go get dressed and I'll take you ta tha store. Go tell Paris"
He nodded and left. Then she looked at tha sticks
Mariah: "Sum'n' comin' up"
We looked at all of'em and she put ha hand on ha chest and sighed
*That night*
August POV:
MeMe been actin' weird since I been home. She's all jumpy and shit. I laugh time ta time cuz it's funny. Afta we got out tha shower, she went downstairs. I go in tha kitchen and ahe scrubbin' tha counter hard as fuck
Me: "Mariah"
She still scrubbin'
Me: "Mariah!"
Then I notice ha earphones. I walk ova and take one outta ha ear
Me: "What is wrong wit chu?"
Mariah: "Ohhh. Nun. I'm juss cleanin'"
Me: "You eitha clean like dis fa two reasons: OCD or sum'n' on yo mind. So wassup?"
Mariah: "Nun"
She walked off and I grabbed ha hand
Me: "You're lyin'. Mariah, what is wro-"
Mariah: "I'm pregnant"
ERRRR! SKURRRT!
Me: "By who?"
She punched me in my arm
Mariah: "August!"
Me: "Shhh. I'm juss playin' babe" I said laughin'
Mariah: "Dat wasn't funny, Anthony. I'm serious"
Me: "When you find out?"
Mariah: "Ta'day. And by havin' common sense...I'm two weeks"
Me: "Well. At least I know I'm not shootin' blanks"
Mariah: "You wanna get stabbed?"
Me: "No" I said laughin'
She juss looked at me
Mariah: "You needa get a vasectomy"
Me: "Tha fuck?!"
