'i'm coming!' luke yelled with a smile, running back down the stairs after placing the abandoned kitten there.
but luke didn't hide things very well and the boys all knew he was up to something when he came back down.
'luke, what are you up to?' cal asked as he slid into his seat at the table, staring down the blonde.
'nothing..' luke mumbled and he stuck a fork full of food into his mouth. michael raised his eyebrow.
'luke.' ashton said firmly causing him to shudder and kind of shrink into his seat as he looked up at the boys.
'i found something on my walk,' he started quietly and michael sighed shaking his head, knowing what he meant.
'baby, we've told you we can't have a pet, we aren't here enough to take care of it' michael said in the softest loving voice he could but luke's bottom lip began to quiver.
'no! y-you have to see her!' luke pushed himself away from the table and ran up the stairs. the boys were already filled with sighs when he came back down with the kitten.
'lukey,' michael started softly again before spotting the small ball of brown fur in his hands. luke looked up to his boyfriend, his eyes huge and watering as if he would burst into tears if someone told him no. more sighs echoed around the room at the sad expression on the youngest's face.
'but i named her already!' luke stated excitedly as he held the small meowing kitten closer to his chest. 'i-i named her ginger!" he smiled, proud of himself. and michael was not about to crush his boyfriend's heart by telling him he couldn't keep this kitten.
'p-please? i don't wanna l-leave her out there, i found her in the snow. can i keep her please?' luke's eyes got huge again and tears looked like they were forming. if anyone told him no they knew he'd start crying and end up in his room the rest of the night and the three boys couldn't have that.
'lu' cal started slowly but then shut up as soon as luke looked at him with that pathetic look on his face. no one wanted to make luke cry, they all knew better than that, because luke crying was absolutely heart breaking.
'you can keep her..' calum said and ashton nodded. luke placed a kiss on michael's cheek before running upstairs giggling at the tiny ball of fur and the three boys sighed in exhaustion.
