Matthews p.o.v

Jeremy had to practically drag me back to his house.

He let me rest on the only couch while he took off my shoes and bag, unzipping my sweatshirt a little.

After that he had left to get us both mugs of orange juice. It felt like ages since Ive been back here, and I was happy for the return. It still looked the same. The awkward green colored walls that contrasted terribly with the brown leather sofa. The floor still hard wood, and the dent Jeremy and I had made was still there.

"Did you actually mean it?" I asked, finally deciding to break the awkward silence.

I watched Jeremy closely as he lifted his head, a pained expression crossing his face, "No. Never. I was just being stupid, Matt. I failed to recognize that. I failed to recognize how many ties between us I broke until I finally stopped trying to push the feelings I have for you a side."

"Well you did that in a very shitty way." I said, not sure if he heard me or not.

Jeremy nodded, "I know."

Tears welled up in my eyes, and deep down somewhere I wanted to attack him, "You called me disgusting! A freak! You embarrassed me in front of the whole cafeteria, telling them about..." When my cheeks blazed red, Jeremy frowned.

"Im sorry." I gave a dry chuckle. Sure he was.

"And it didnt help that like, my grandma died. Im feeling so overwhelmed, and I dont know what to feel." Taking in a shaky breath, I smiled when Jeremy wrapped his arms around me. I missed this specific feeling.

"Im sorry." Jeremy repeated, he pulled away seconds later, "How about we make some cookies or whatever, to help take your mind off everything."

"Sure." I mumbled, standing up seconds after Jeremy. We walked into his kitchen together, and the shape was well different from mine. It was like a big box, with an island in the middle, half of it opening up to the dinning room, then the other, the hallway.

He grabbed his phone from his pocket and searched a simple cookie recipe, walking around his kitchen and getting a large bowl and most of the ingredients.

"Some weird shit." Jeremy said moving in behind me to reach up to the cupboard and pull out a long cookie sheet. "Shall we video tape it also?"

"No, I look terrible." I mumbled, running a hand through my hair with a sigh.

Jeremy smiled at me, "No you look just perfect." His eyes stayed on mine for a couple minutes before he set his phone on record and clicked the little red button at the bottom of the screen.

"So, Matt and I today will be making simple chocolate chip cookies," He introduced, "And the recipe says to first go wash your hands, so we will do just that." Seeming to forget out spiff we had over the past couple of weeks, Jeremy grabbed me by the waist and pulled me over to the sink, standing behind me as he grabbed my hands to wash with his.
