Send me up the stairs
To the dire, dreary, dust-filmed room
it's only known occupant has been
Darkness.
Pitch black. Empty
but not quite as hollow as you.
Sickening & heartless
& as you drive away,
Still with the key to my freedom
in your possession
Yes, with me currently dreading
Dad after day
I'm no longer being punished here
Once through the waves of depression.
Because with a "bad" so strong,
The tiniest bit of guilt is demanding
Just a reminder that life goes on;
confusion burned,
Leaving behind only understanding.
