Hour after hour, I stood in front of that glass window hearing the constant beeping, waiting for Simon to wake up.
Josh convinced me to sit down.
I rested my head on his shoulder, and soon fell asleep.
I woke up.
"Is he awake yet?" I asked, rubbing my eyes
"Not yet. Some nurses are checking on him right now." They said and looked at the floor.
I got up again and went toward the glass.
He was still there.
I put my hand on the glass.
Then suddenly...
I saw Simon open his eyes.
"Simon..." I smiled.
"What?!" The boys stood up
"He's awake!" I jumped and hugged them.
I waved at him.
He smiled back and waved weakly.
His hand fell, and his eyes closed again.
There was a long beep.
"No... No! No!!!" I screamed, with tears flowing down my face.
He was flatlining.
"Simon!!!" My fist pounded on the glass
I didn't want to lose him.
Josh put his hands on my shoulder.
"Sabrina! Stop!" He said.
I started crying.
I rested my head on the glass, crying.
He was gone. I lost him. It was all my fault.
