16 AN: Gathering time! And I want to tell you that they're gonna be in the glade for like 3 years before Thomas comes up and things change. Just so you know. Continue the oh mighty story that is full of bad grammar:

Emily's P.O.V.

It has been 4 days since I was attacked by David. There is gonna be held a gathering today, and the Keepers will decide the punishment.

Although I personally feel like I'm better, I was still not allowed to get out of bed. I insisted that I was fine, but noooo, I am, according to those shuckfaces, not fine. No matter how much I argued with Clint and Jeff, they refused to listen to me. And of course, Alby, Newt, Minho, and the rest of the Gladers took their side.

Damn you shanks.

Minho has also been by my side when he is not running, which I thought was sweet but also unnecessary. However, I cannot deny that when he held my hand, the butterflies in my stomach turned into elephants. Yes, elephants. That's how crazy I've become.

Alright, enough of that K-pop drama.

Kenneth - the poor, innocent, and lovely Kenneth - has been blaming himself for what happened. He believes that if he had gone with me, the entire incident could have been avoided. Obviously, it's not his fault, which I managed to get into his brain at last. In fact, I believe that the incident would've happened regardless. Maybe not that particular day, but another day. It was inevitable.

I feel like I sound like Thanos for some reason.

"Here, lemme help you," Minho said as I was about to get up from the bed.

This shuckface has refused to let me do anything since the attack. He was even worried when I held a goddamn book. Yeah, that's how crazy this shank has become.

"I'm not as helpless as you think I am, you know," I commented, getting on my feet with the help of Minho. "It doesn't even hurt that bad."

"Shuck no. I'm not gonna let you do anything - at least not for a week." His response made me roll my eyes.

"I can walk," I said as he held me around the waist, making the elephants go crazy.

"Sorry, I don't speak lies."

"You shucking shuckfaced shuck, I can shucking walk. I wasn't attacked by a shucking Griever you slinthead." I finally got out of his grip, walking out of the Medjack's hut.

"Not yet..." He muttered, which made me hit him playfully on the chest, summoning a smile from him.

"Shuckface."

"Shank." We both chuckled. "You know, you don't have to do this." I looked at him as we were in front of the Gathering Room.

"Yeah, not gonna happen. I'm coming, and you can't stop me."

"I'm honored that you think I stood a chance at stopping you." He said as we walked inside, sitting in the chairs that created a semicircle. "After all, you're way too stubborn. More stubborn that the goat we have."

"Keep talking, and maybe someday you might say something intelligent."

"Is that your face? Or did your neck just throw up?"

"Couldn't help it. One look at you and I started to vomit." I received a couple of high-fives from the other Keepers who had been listening to the conversation between Minho and me.

But the laughter died the moment Alby and Newt walked in. It was a time of seriousness.

Because when they sat down, the door opened once again, revealing the person who I had not seen since he tried to kill me.
