Kate looked at the clock and bounced her knee up and down.
It was April 1st and she had gotten Rick out of the house.
She said she wanted to take him to lunch.
She had given Lanie a key to the loft so she and the boys could get in and get everything ready.
"Dadda! momma dadda!" Hope blabbered and Kate smiled.
"I know sweetie, he just went to get some food." Kate said and bounced Hope.
Kate looked around the coffee shop and smiled when Rick came back with 2 coffees and a bearclaw for her.
"Here you go." He smiled and handed it to her.
"Thanks."
"Dada!" Hope said and Rick smiled.
"Hi baby girl." He said and placed Hope on his knee.
"So what do you want to do today?" Kate said and Rick shrugged.
"Not really sure." He said and Kate nodded.
Kate's phone buzzed and she read the message from Lanie.
(We're all set!)
Kate smiled and put it up.
"How about we go home and figure something out." She said and Rick nodded.
"Sounds good." he replied and stood up, Hope still in his arms.
Kate bit her lip as she opened the door, Rick had Hope in his arms.
She was playing peek a boo with him.
She smiled and walked in.
When the lights turned on there was a loud noise.
"SURPRISE!" Everyone yelled and Rick's jaw dropped.
Kate laughed and Lanie followed by the boys came up.
"Well!"
"Wow!" Rick said and they all laughed.
