Ch.5 Blackbeard's plan

Piper and Alistair sat at Blackbeard's desk as he sat across from them.

"So" Blackbeard said as he turned to Alistair "I couldn't help but notice your compass that your mother gave to you, in fact, I met her years ago when she was about your age, and she had that same compass with her. Ah she was an interesting girl, very beautiful too. She was also great friends with Peter, they used to go on adventures together".

Alistair and Piper said nothing.

"Anyway" Blackbeard continued "Mr. Pan, the main reason I want to talk to you is because I need your help. You see, there's something I'm looking for, it's an orb called the Neverland Orb".

Piper's eyes widen as Blackbeard reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a map and spread it out on the table, it was a map of Neverland.

"Now" Blackbeard said "I haven't been to Neverland in a long time, and I was thinking that the Neverland Orb was somewhere in the center of Neverland, but I don't know where though, so I was wondering if you Piper, could help me look for it".

"You really think I'm gonna help you find the orb?" Piper asked with a frown.

"What's the Neverland Orb?" Alistair asked.

"It's the thing that keeps everyone in Neverland from growing up" Piper said as he turned to Blackbeard "Sorry Blackbeard, but I ain't helping you, the Neverland Orb stays here in Neverland, and I'm not gonna put Neverland in danger".

Blackbeard gave a chuckle "Oh you silly Pan, Neverland is already in danger. I know that Neverland can't survive without Peter Pan, but that's not entirely true".

Piper and Alistair gave confused looks.

"Neverland can live without Pan, as long as he's alive, but once Peter dies, then Neverland dies".

The boy's eyes widen.

"Now" Blackbeard said to Piper "I want to make a deal, you show me where the Neverland Orb is, and your daddy can live, but if you don't show me where the orb is, well, you can tell what would happen. So what do you say? Do we have a deal?"

Piper gave him a stern look "Either way, Neverland will not be the same, if you take that orb away, everyone in Neverland will grow up, and that's not how it is".

"But it might happen, if you don't show me where it is".

Piper just looked at him with a mad look, even if he took the deal, Neverland will never be the same.

"I'll let you think about it" Blackbeard said as he stood up and went to the window behind him and looked out at the beach "And Mr. Wonderland, your mother was just like Peter, annoying and always curious, and because of her, she foiled my plan when I last visited Neverland. I was still looking for the Neverland Orb when she and Peter were around your age, and because of her curiosity, she overheard my plan and told Peter and his group of Lost Boys, and before I could make my mark, they attacked".

As he continued telling the story, the boys quietly stood up and tried to go out the door.

"Don't even think about leaving" Blackbeard said "I ain't done yet".

The boys sighed as they stayed where they were.

"I never liked your parents" Blackbeard said as he continued looking out the window "And ever since they foiled my plan, I've been wanting revenge on them".

As he talked, Alistair was busy admiring the guns and swords that hung on the wall, he wanted to grab one of the swords and use it on Blackbeard and escape. But when Blackbeard saw what he was doing, he pulled out his sword just as Alistair turned around and pointed the sword to his neck. Alistair and Piper stood there with fear as Alistair felt the sharp point of the sword to his throat.

"Are you brave Alistair?" Blackbeard asked.

"Yes" Alistair said as he held up his bravery.

Blackbeard showed his doubt.

"Well" Alistair said nervously "At least I try to be".

"That's what I thought" Blackbeard said.

Alistair noticed that Piper had pulled out a tiny bottle out of his satchel filled with some silver sparkle dust.

"What are you afraid of Alistair?" Blackbeard asked.

"Uh-" Alistair said just as Piper opened the bottle and threw some of the dust into Blackbeard's face. Blackbeard gave a cry as he covered his eyes feeling the burn in his eyes and face.

"Come on!" Piper yelled as he grabbed the map of Neverland and they ran out of the cabin.

On the ship, Blackbeard's crew spotted them and went towards them, but Piper threw more of the dust into their eyes as he and Alistair went to the other cabin and burst in to find their friends sitting down with the pirate that had taken them sleeping on his desk.

"Alistair! Piper!" they gasped.

"It's about time" Jane said "This guy would not stop talking about his old love life".

"Well come on" Piper said as they all went out of the cabin.

But as they went out, the crew recovered from the dust and went towards them, but Piper threw more dust at them.

"What is that?" Maddie asked.

"I'll tell you later" Piper said as he reached into his shirt and pulled a small bottle with pixie dust that hung around his neck on a string.

He opened the bottle and poured the dust into his palm and threw it in the air as it landed on everyone.

"You guys know what to do" he said "Think happy thoughts".

So that's what they did, and soon they started floating as the crew tried to grab them.

"This way" Piper said as they flew away from the ship just as Blackbeard came out from his cabin with his eyes red from the dust.

He looked up and saw everyone flying away. He gave a mad look and a growl.

"We must find them" he growled "Especially Pan!"

He then stormed into his cabin and towards his desk expecting to find the map, but to his shock the map was gone. He gave an angry growl as he pounded his fist on the desk.

"I ain't given up" he said to himself "I will have that orb, and my revenge".
