Ch.17 Piper confesses

The boys both stood there covered in paint and full of shock at what Alistair just said.

"Piper I-" Alistair said with a sad look "I didn't mean that".

"Well that's like the hundredth time someone's told me that" Piper said as his eyes water.

"What?"

Piper hesitated "Never mind".

"No what do you mean that was the hundredth time someone's told you that? Did other people tell you that?"

"Look, I don't want to talk about it ok?"

"No it's not ok, what's going on? Tell me".

Piper felt his eyes water more as he bit his lips together while thinking about it.

"Have you ever felt like that no one will ever like you the way you are?" he asked with a sad look.

"Well, sometimes" Alistair said.

"Well it's true for me".

"What do you mean?"

A tear rolled down Piper's cheek.

"I never liked living at Ever After, people there are too judgmental".

"Uh, not everyone, well, maybe except Duchess and Faybelle".

"They're not the only ones" Piper said as he sniffed.

"What are you talking about?"

"I can't take it anymore!" Piper burst with tears in his eyes "You wanna know the truth, fine, I'll tell you the truth! Everyday I got these messages telling me to grow up because I'm too immature and that no one will ever like me because I act like a kid! No one at Ever After likes me for who I am! Not even Headmaster Grimm!"

"Piper!" Alistair gasped "You're being, cyber bullied?!"

Piper burst into tears "Now you know".

Alistair was even more shocked.

"How long has this been happening?" he asked.

"Since I came to Ever After, I didn't want to go there in the first place cause I knew people there wouldn't accept me for who I am cause I'm too immature and everyday they send me messages telling me to grow up and that I don't belong at Ever After and that I should've stayed in Neverland!"

"Piper! Why didn't you tell anyone?! Why didn't you tell me?! You have to tell someone if you're being bullied, why didn't you tell us?"

Piper sniffed as more tears came out.

"I'm humiliated" he sniffed "I thought-" he hesitated.

"You thought you could handle it on your own?" Alistair finished as Piper nodded.

"I can't do it" Piper said.

"Why?"

Piper continued to cry as the tears wiped off some of the paint on his face.

"I'm scared" he whispered.

Alistair gave a sad sigh "I thought so. But I'm glad you finally told me".

Piper tried to hold back more of his tears as he tried to calm himself.

"Hey just let it out" Alistair said.

"I'm better now" Piper said.

"Oh I'm sure you are" Alistair doubted.

The boys then stood there in silence for a moment until Piper spoke up.

"You don't belong here" he said reciting the messages he got "You're too immature you should just go back to Neverland where you can act like the dumb kid you are. Grow up Pan, I don't see how anyone could ever like a kid like you. No wonder Headmaster Grimm doesn't like you, you're a joke Pan, you hear me, a joke".

Alistair felt his eyes water and his heart breaking after hearing what people had said to Piper. Piper then let some more tears come out as he felt the pain get to him.

"Piper-" Alistair started to say.

"Just stop" Piper cut in "I'm fine".

"No you're not".

"I just want to be alone".

"But Piper-".

"I want to be alone!" he snapped.

Alistair gave a slight jump as he stood there with shock. Piper then ran into the forest and disappeared, leaving Alistair alone in the Natives camp. Alistair just stood there full of shock and sadness and not knowing what to do.

Piper went through the forest with tears in his eyes as his heart hurt even more, even though it was right for him to finally tell someone about his problem, he still didn't feel better. He continued walking until he finally came to the Lost Boys camp where Wendy had just came out from inside a house and saw him.

"Piper!" she gasped "What happened? Why are you covered in paint?"

"Long story" he mumbled.

"Wait a minute, are you crying? What's wrong?"

"It's nothing".

"Uh, it doesn't seem like nothing to me, seriously what's wrong?"

"Nothing I'm fine. I'm just gonna get cleaned up".

As Wendy watch him go upstairs and towards his tree house, she knew that he was lying, her mother instincts were telling her that something had happened, and she had to know.

Meanwhile, Alistair was walking through the forest while thinking about what just happened, he was still shocked at what Piper had told him. How could he of kept this secret so long and not tell anyone? Poor Piper, he must of felt so hurt when receiving those hateful messages. How could people at Ever After be so mean to Piper? Who would do such a thing? He had to know what people were doing this to Piper, he was going to find out when they go back to Ever After, that is, if they go back. As he walked he then heard the sound of a waterfall, he walked ahead and he soon came upon a lake with a waterfall falling down in it. He then looked at himself and saw the paint all over him. He had to get all of this paint off, so he went into the lake and to the waterfall and stood under it letting the water pour on him like a shower and washing the paint off. After getting the paint off, Alistair got out from the lake and squeezed the water out of his clothes. He then sat on a boulder and stared at the lake, not knowing what to do now.

Oh my gosh, how could people do this to Piper? This is heartbreaking

I know, it breaks my heart just reading this

What's gonna happen next? I hope Piper get's better
