The alarm of my phone gave me a pounding headache when It ran its course through the same ring over and over. Not sure where the sound was coming from I moved my hand around my sheets to try and muffle the sound. Doing my best to keep my eyes closed I found my phone under the covers vibrating in the jungle of white sheets. I groaned shutting off the alarm and laid a pillow over my face to block out the light that shined through the window.

It seemed like just a few seconds later my phone began to ring. Only when I slid my phone to talk to the person on the other line I was met with Elena's voice.

"Where the hell are you?" Elena asked.

"What?" I spoke through my pounding headache..

"Where are you it's almost eleven!" She stressed as I than shot up with my eyes widening.

"I ah..." I stumbled out of bed trying to hurry and find something other than my dress I was wearing from the light before. "I ummm.." I stumbled around sliding off the little black dress I had wore the night before.

"Rowan!" I could tell Elena was growing tired of my stumbling around.

"I'll be there in ten!" I hung up throwing my phone onto my bed while I jumped into a pair of jean and a white t-shirt. Not even attempting to fix my hair I combed through my hair with my fingers to get it to look straightened once again. Wiping under my eyes from last night's makeup I took my phone and bag and began running outside to the cold air that caused goosebumps to climb on my skin.

Running through the city streets I finally made it to the studio looking inside the glass walls to see Elena give me a look with her arms folded across her chest. Upon entering a client sat on the couch waiting for me to attend to them.

"I'm so sorry I was running a little late this morning. Shall we get started?" I asked the woman all glammed up and ready for her photoshoot.

"Yes." She stood up following me to the back while Elena eyed me. I knew I owed Elena an explanation since the studio had opened at nine and I arrived at eleven. Although the conversation was not meant to be heard by clients I could see Elena at the corner of my eye keeping a watchful eye on me.

"Alright why don't we start with a few full length shots." I suggested to the blonde beauty who looked about my age maybe older.

Snapping shots of her our hour long session had come to an end. Placing my camera on a table I began to compliment her.

"Those are going to come out great! I have a feeling you've done this before." I told her while we scrolled back to the front desk where Elena was on the phone with a client.

"I'm actually going to turn those pictures into a modeling agency." She explained to me with a small smile.

"Well with how great you were I'm sure you will go far!" I smiled at her taking care of payment since Elena was tied up on the phone.

"Thank you so much!" The girl said before exiting the studio. It was almost perfect timing, right as the door closed and the girl had walked away Elena hung up concluding the call and placed her hands on her hips.

"Okay, I know you're mad and I should have never been late but let me explain." I put my hands up in defence watching for her face gesture to let me go on.

"I'm not even going to try and hide it. I was wasted last night and I slept in with a major hangover that I'm still trying to deal with right now. I was out with Harry and we got completely wasted and I know you are going to make endless fun of me." I explained feeling the light come in bug my eyes.

"Rowan Cadwell got drunk?" Elena's face lit up from my short story.

"What?" I looked at Elena puzzled by her response.

"You got drunk! You haven't gotten drunk since..." we both knew what Elena was referring to. "Rowan! This is great!"

"What? Elena.." Elena cut me off.

"The old Rowan is coming back! The fun and crazy Rowan!"

Thinking back to the old me I remembered my love for a good party and a distinguished drink I could sip on through the night. Elena was right I haven't gotten wasted since the thing with Kait. I had gone into a downward spiral and began drinking myself into comas until one day I stopped all the drinking knowing that it wasn't helping me forget anything. I still felt the sting of her being gone and the alcohol wasn't helping me to forget that.

"I would pay good money to see you drunk last night!" Elena laughed causing me to frown but in the end laugh it off. "When are you going to introduce me to this Harry character?"

"I don't know, we are just friends." I told Elena who gave me a look to show she was unconvinced.

"That's funny Row! Your jokes make me laugh." Elena told me as I than gave her a sour expression.

"We are!" I pressed.

"Sure you are. That's why he calls you at work and asks you out on dates."

"A date!"

"Friends don't go on dates, sweetheart."

"You know what, you can think what you want but I know that we are only friends." I told her one last time.

"Except for what you think is wrong so..." Elena smirked causing me to give her a look.

Kait-

Remember that guy I told you about last time? Well I asked him out! I know this doesn't sound like a big deal considering I used to ask guys out all the time back than but since you've been gone I have lost my confidence. As you may know I'm not at all like I used to be.

I asked him out to coffee last week on Saturday. He's pleasant to talk to and I enjoy his company. We talked for hours in the coffee shop he works at and for the first time in awhile, I actually had a conversation that didn't include pity. I can't describe how great it feels to be treated like a regular person again.

On Sunday he called my work and asked me out to which I said yes. He took me to a bar to all places but I ended up laughing so hard my lungs hurt by the end of the night, or maybe that was the countless rounds of Vodka! We both were wasted and ended up getting a cab, I don't remember else after that. I don't even remember how I got into my bed but maybe that's a good thing.

Tapping my pencil against the written page I had freshly printed on I sat cross legged on the rug of my living room floor while re runs of Friends played on the tv. Sipping my tea sip by sip I stared out the window where the moon accomplished the stars in the sky above.

Tomorrow was Thursday which meant I had an appointment with Dr. Hill, which also meant I would get to see Harry. Walking back from the appointment with Dr. Hill every Thursday I loved to stop by and grab a coffee and see Harry light up with that dimple perfected smile. If only tomorrow could come faster.
