Slowly, light filled Sarah’s eyes as she finally awoke from when she had passed out hours ago. Luna was sound asleep on the floor next to her; Shadow though, had been watching her.

           “Sarah…” He started

“Why…Why didn’t you do anything? Say anything?” Sarah asked with pain in her eyes. She could recall the laughter, and all Shadow had done was tell them to knock it off. Nothing more.

               “Sarah I tried”

“Just telling them to knock it off isn’t trying…You didn’t care! You should’ve just laughed with them; it wouldn’t have made any difference!” Sarah hissed at Shadow. Somehow Luna was still asleep through the –almost- yelling.

“I do care! I didn’t know what else to do!”

“You know Lexie started this, right?”

                                         “…No. What did she say?”

“She told me to kill myself. Then she got her friends on me, and everyone else.”

                                                     “That’s not true…Lexie wouldn’t do that.”

Sarah felt her fists clench at hearing ‘Lexie wouldn’t do that’. So it was true, Shadow wouldn’t believe her. He’d rather believe that bitch, Lexie. How did she appear so innocent to him? How was it so hard to see the hell that Lexie was making her go through? How?

“Well she did, and I even tried to listen to her and its true, her friends and everyone else got involved. You saw for yourself, Shadow are you really that blind?”

“I’m not blind! You’re a liar! Lexie would never try to hurt you; in fact, she wants to be friends with you again!”

“I’m a liar? Wow, you know what, Lexie was right; you do hate me don’t you? Why didn’t you just say it to my face? It’s okay, it would have been clearer to me if you had told me earlier. You know, I don’t even care anymore, it’s cool.”

Shadow went silent at hearing Sarah say he hated her. That wasn’t true at all, but with what was going on now…Could he believe her? He wanted to, but something was holding him back from doing so.

“Hate you? I don’t hate you.”

“Well that’s what Lexie told me!” Sarah crossed her arms and slightly glared at Shadow.

“…I see it now.” Shadow finally gave in to Sarah’s side of the story. She was telling the truth wasn’t she? How had he not seen this coming?

“Are you still going to go to semi with her?”

“…No.” Shadow shook his head. Sarah felt her eyes light up and a slight grin was formed on her face. Shadow wasn’t going to go to semi with Lexie! It was an exciting announcement indeed.

However…Things can only stay good for so long.
