Granted

I once had a lifeline

but freedom, he demanded

and that is why i don't take

anything for granted

i hold my prized possessions

closest to my heart

in never-ending fear

that they'll fall apart

my wallet's stuffed with pictures

and money at it's core

i always live afraid

that i'll end up poor

i keep my good friends close

and my family even more so

i can't shake the feeling

that they'll shoot off like an arrow

i once had a lifeline

but freedom, he demanded

and that's why i don't take

anything for granted

cause honey i know broken

and baby i know poor

but i end up knowing lonely

far too much more

The amount of reads I have is truly incredible... thank you all so much
