I checked my watch again, waiting for my customer to arrive. Meeting her was essential, because after the second time, I get to get the house ready for me, and I don't want to ruin the chances of me and Pearl living like humans.
A lady entered the cafe and instantly, all the eyes were snapped in her direction. She walked in, brushing her hair out of her face in a swift move. She looked at me and smiled.
I smiled back because it was my job to.
She strolled in my direction, and I got up to pull out the chair for her to sit.
"I've been waiting for so long," she started and I faced her, confused.
"What for?"
"You were not available for weeks."
"I thought everything settled, but it didn't."
"Oh."
I nodded at her sympathetic smile.
"So what do you need me for?"
"Act like my boyfriend," she stated. "Nothing more, nothing less."
"Fancy explaining why?"
She nodded, looking away. "For my parents, I want to prove them wrong.They say I can't keep a guy."
"And why is that?"
"Because I never did."
"And you decided on keeping me?"
"You're fake, and it makes a huge difference."
