"We can live together," I tell Hannah and she smiles brightly.
"But what would I do with my house?"
"Sell it."
"No," she shook her head. "It was my grandmother's, I can't let it go."
"But I want you to be with me."
She tilted her head to the side before her eyes widened, "I have an idea."
I nodded, grinning like an idiot.
"I can stay in here for certain days and you's stay in mine the others."
"Fair enough," I kissed her forehead before I walked to the kitchen. "Coffee?"
"Please," he called from the living room before I heard the TV being turned on. I like that she feels comfortable around me and I love that she's no longer work-subject for me.
I opened the cabinet and picked on the jar filled with instant coffee. A paper slipped and fell in front of me. 'It hurts' it read and my heart skipped a beat. Pearl. Her writing. I crumbled the paper in my hand and tossed it back to the highest shelf of the cabinet.
I ran my fingers through my hair.
I wonder if she's still hurt. I wonder if she's in love.
I don't want to think that she has moved on. That idea hurt alone.
I think I'm not strong enough to see her in love yet.
