Chapter 12 - Location

Alison's POV

"What are you doing to me?" He whispered softly, causing shivers to travel down my spine. He placed my legs on the ground, his arms still firm around my waist. Leaning in, he placed his hand on my cheek, running it up and down my flushed face. Our orbes focused on nothing but eachother's. Our synchronized breaths were fanning on the other's faces and our heartbeats increasing by the minute.

In that moment, I knew how I felt about Brian, and I was past denying it. He was not the man everyone portrayed him to be, and my determination to save him had increased massively. The facade that the both of us had been putting up was coming off, and slowly our walls of insecurity were breaking. We were incompatable, but so right for each other. He was a prince, 459 year old one for that matter, and I was just a teenager, but not even that was getting in the way anymore.

I was deep in thought, that I didn't realise how we had inched towards eachother enough to feel his appealing aroma calling to me, our lips centimeters apart. I closed my eyes, ready to embrace the feeling of his lips on mine.

BOOM!

The door had flung open and the figure of a panting Paisley stood at the front. Her eyes scanned our comprimising position and her eyes widened, her hands covering her mouth instantly. Brian's arm losened around my waist as we parted, making our best effort to alter the situation. I cleared my throat, as if snapping back to reality.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. But we have Grettan's location" She spoke. This time, it was our sockets that popped out.

"What? How? Where is she?" I blurted, catching myself in the word vomit of amusement.

"Lana's magic. She's in York. We have to go, now"

"Pais, York is two hours away, we have to be home in one hour, how are we supposed to-"

"We have that covered" She cut me off "Lana has that figure out, she has some compelling spell or something, and Laura will cover for us in school. Now let's get going." She squealed, running out the doors. A moment of awkward silence later, I decided to follow, still blushing from the earlier events.

Lana and Paisley were all geared up and ready to go by the front door, two duffel bags in each of their hands.

"Alright guys, let's think this through first, do we even have a plan for when we confront her? We can't just barge in their asuming that we are capable of fighting a 900 year old strong freaking witch. We need to make a plan" I suggested. But Pais was already halfway out the door and so was Lana.

"We can plan that on the way. Now let's get moving before we lose her." Lana commented, now completley out of my sight.

I sighed and followed her out, Brian on my trail. Brian had stopped right in front of the car, his eyes wide and confused. I chuckled, realizing that he must have never ridden in a white range rover SUV, but he didn't make a comment. Lana got into the driver's seat, and Pais into the passenger seat, leaving me and Brian to share the back seats.

The engine roared as Lana pulled out of the royal castle heading straight out of London. The first few minutes passed in silence, no one uttering a word. The faint sound of the radio was enough to conquer the car, the air tense. I avoided eye contact with Brian, staring the other way, but I could feel his strong gaze penetrating through me, making me nervous, and if I weren't seated already, I would have probably collapsed due to my jello legs. My tempation to stick my face to his and cuddle myself in his arms was increasing more than ever, but I resisted it, by trying to focus on that one hot guy I ran into at Starbucks one evening. But not even that was helping.

"Let's play a game" Paisley suddenly suggested, making me sigh, relief flooding me. I needed a distraction. "20 questions. Brian, let's start with you shall we?" She blurted, smirking at me through the rear view mirror, letting me know of her intentions. Typical best friend behaviour. I thought, rolling my eyes. "Rules are simple, I am going to ask you a question, and you are going to answer truthfully." She turned around, facing Brian.

"Alright" he responded, nodding slightly.

"Have you ever considered dating anybody after you returned from... well inside the cell?" My eyes sprang up in shock, glaring wholes at my best friend.

"Pardon me, but what is dating?" He questioned, making us all erupt into a fit of laughter, he's so innocent.

"Have you wanted to have a girlfriend since you returned?" She rephrased after her laughter died down slightly. A slight tint appeared on his cheeks as he processed the understanding of the question. We waited patiently as he thought before nodding his head.

"Yes actually, I have" He said, sounding pretty shy. I knew my best friend's questions didn't end there so instead, I interviened.

"Alrigh, my turn to ask you Pais" I responded, glaring right at her.

The ride continued with simple questions, not returning to the initial subject, which I was thankful for. The last thirty minutes of the ride were spent like the initial, in complete silence.

Lana pulled over by an old theatre in York. My heart was thumping and my hands were clammy as we mounted out of the car. I walked towards the entrace, stopping right outside the doors.

"You sure it's this?" I asked one last time. They were all next to me, looking at the door with the same expression.

"I'm sure" I looked at Brian nodding in confidence as we strode in through the doors.
