My earliest memory involves me sitting in basketball shorts, despite being sick, on the couch. I had a blanket wrapped around me and we were watching baseball. I was younger, and I have no idea about the year, but this is one time I remember being sick to the point of I just couldn't deal.
Then I had no idea baseball would later play a bigger role in my life, but now I'm glad that is the case.
I also did not know that the meaning of being sick would also change... A lot.
Hacking and coughing would be no biggie compared to what would later be thrown at me, because being "sick" would become more than physical illness.

Oh, how much can change so quickly.
