"Sir, we have something."

"I'll be there in a few minutes," Beau clicked the phone off and reached over me to place it on the table.

I heard him exhale and press his lips to my shoulder before sitting up. I opened my eyes to see him running his fingers through his hair. A small smile slid onto his face when he saw that I was awake.

"Where are you going?" I murmured.

"The pack found a non-pack member on our territory. I'm going to question him now," he explained.

"You mean we're going to question him now," I sat up and pulled the hem of my tank top down—it had edged up to right below my navel while we were sleeping.

"Baby, I don't know if that's a good idea," Beau avoided my eyes.

"Why?" I challenged.

"I'm different when I question people," he rubbed his face, "I don't want you to be scared of me."

"I think I've seen your worst," I said dryly, remembering the night before. "Besides, I'd just follow you once you left the house."

Beau groaned and searched my face, trying to tell if I was bluffing or not. "You're so stubborn."

He leaned forward and pressed his lips to mine, telling me that I could come. I smiled and kissed him back, breaking our kiss before we both got caught in that daze and lost track of time—something that seemed to be happening more often.

"We should probably change too," Beau whispered, "I don't want anyone else seeing you in a tank top."

Laughing, I shoved him away and climbed off of his lap, "you're ridiculous."

I ruffled his hair and flit up the stairs, hearing his footsteps behind me. Right as I walked through the walk-in closet, two arms wrapped around my waist and pulled my shirt off. So I turned and did the same to him. Grinning seductively, I twisted his shirt into a rope-like shape and held both ends, wrapping it around his neck. Pulling it toward me, Beau's head was tugged toward my face.

I pressed my lips to his, dropping the shirt and resting my hands on his chest instead. He grinned against my lips and brushed his fingers against the small of my back, tracing small circles. Beau slid his tongue along my bottom lip, opening my mouth underneath his, and ran his tongue along the inside of my teeth.

Reluctantly, I pulled away, letting my tongue dart along his bottom lip for a split second. "We should probably get dressed now."

"Probably," Beau sighed and let go of me, letting his hands linger at my waist.

I pulled on a pair of dark skinny jeans, a white tank top, and a purple blazer with long sleeves. I tied my tangled hair up in a sloppy bun, not bothering to make it look very nice, and slipped my feet into light gray Toms.

Beau was wearing the usual uniform—jeans, a t-shirt, and black boots.

"Come on," Beau took my hand in his and kissed my temple, letting his lips linger.

"Hey, Belle!" Xavier flung his arm around my shoulder, ignoring the glare he got from Beau.

"Hi Xav," I smiled warmly.

"Yeah, hello," Beau shoved Xavier's arm off of me and replaced it with his arm, pulling me closer to his side.

I rolled my eyes, but hung my arm loosely around his waist. Xavier just chuckled to himself and walked with us to the small concrete bunker. Both Beau and I raised our eyebrows at him, wondering what was so funny.
