As you walked down the hall, you tugged at the bottom of your uniform shirt, silently wishing that there was a larger size.
It was your first night at your new job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. Since the only opening was for the night watch from 12 to 6 AM, you had no choice but to take it. It was either this or being a waitress at Hooter's- and you know that nobody would want to see you in their outfits. Besides, it was too far.
You were what you considered "big-boned". Sure, you were a bit larger than most girls, but those few extra pounds have had a major impact on your love life- which is nonexistent.
Sighing, you reached the office that you would be working in for the next five days. The partner your boss said that would be working with you wasn't there yet, so you sighed once more before sitting down in one of the chairs behind the desk. Looking up at the clock on the wall, you saw that it was 11:57. Noticing the tablet on the table, you picked it up and saw that it was showing the camera located on the show stage, as well as a map of the pizzeria. Smiling slightly at the sight of the animatronics, you flipped through the cameras, viewing each room in the establishment.
As you set the tablet back down, you could now notice that there was a pair of footsteps coming down the hall-straight to your office. Reaching for the flashlight on the desk, you could feel your heartbeat quicken as your stomach coiled in fear. Pointing the flashlight at the hall entrance, you flipped it on and looked down the corridor. There was somebody standing there, covering their eyes due to the light. The figure was also wearing the same uniform as you, meaning that this person was your partner. Lowering the flashlight a bit, you stood up and headed towards the person.
Some things were quite obvious as you approached this mysterious person. First off, it was a he. Second, was his looks-- big-boned like you, he had thick-rimmed glasses in front of dark brown (nearly black) eyes, and reddish shaggy hair and freckles that stood out due to his greyish skin. Lastly, he was checking you out, which surprised you.
You slightly frowned as your face heat up since you weren't used to random people staring at you for longer than a few seconds. Looking up at you, he smiled before beginning to walk over to you. However, he tripped on his shoelace and fell flat on his face. Gasping, you stepped over to him and knelt down before quickly helping him up, noticing the red impact mark on his face and the small trickle of blood dripping from his nose. You practically dragged him to the office despite his protests, and sat him down in the other chair. Grabbing a random, clean napkin off of the messy desk, you tilted his head forward and placed the napkin against his nose until he grabbed it.
Sitting back down, you grabbed the tablet and checked the rooms to find that Bonnie was gone. As you searched for him, you found that there was a music box that was winding down in the prize corner. After you rewound it, you began to search for the blue bunny. Finally finding him in one of the party rooms, you were both relieved and anxious. Flicking back to the prize corner, you rewound the music box before setting the tablet down. Turning to face the male sitting next to you, you noticed that he was dabbing away the last bits of the blood. After he finished and threw the napkin away in a waste bin in the office,, he looked up at you sheepishly, an embarrassed blush spreading across his cheeks.
"S-sorry about that. I tend to be really unlucky so..." He cleared his throat before putting a slightly chubby hand out. "Anyways, I'm Fritz. Fritz Smith." You stared at it before smiling softly and shaking it.
"I'm (F/n). (F/n) (L/n). Nice to meet you." Letting go of his hand, you returned to the tablet, re-winding the box. Placing it back down, you heard banging and crashing coming from the vent to your right. Fritz leaned over you and pressed the light button above it, revealing the light blue animatronic looking up at you two.
He quickly leaned back in his chair, which caused it to fall over. As he lay on the floor groaning in pain, you helped him back up-yet again- before grabbing one of the Freddy heads on the desk and placing it over his head. As soon as you placed yours on, Bonnie crawled out of the vent, glanced at you two, and left through the vent again.
Removing the mask, you released the breath that you didn't realize that you were holding. Sitting back down, you picked up the tablet and rewound the box as you heard the chair being placed back. hearing a yelp of shock, you looked up to see Fritz holding the flashlight, staring down the hallway. Following his gaze, you saw Chica staring at the two of you from a distance. The whites of her eyes were now black, her pupils currently white dots, and her beak was missing. Dropping the tablet on the table, you picked up your Freddy mask and placed it on, as the red-haired male followed suit. before continuing to flash the light at her.
She continued to stand there. Fritz kept flashing the light as you rewound the music box once again. The female chicken was still there when you put the tablet back down. Spotting a paperweight on the desk, an idea popped into your mind as you picked it up and looked at the yellow bird.
"Go away, Chica!!" Throwing the paperweight with as much strength as you could muster, you watched as it hit the animatronic in the leg. Fritz once again flashed the light, only for it to not work. He continued to try to make it work as panic set in. You quickly rewound the music box, and were quite relieved to see that the light was working and that Chica had left when you looked back up.
Sighing in relief, the two of you removed the heads and placed them back down on the desk. Looking at each other, you smiled before two growling sounds broke the silence-one from you and one from him. Sitting there with your faces growing hot, the both of you began to laugh.
As you calmed down, you wound the box up and returned the tablet to it's place on the desk. Checking the vents and hall and seeing nothing, you looked back at the ginger to see him holding a bag of gummy worms in his hand, the end of one poking out from the corner of his mouth. Glancing over to you, he slurped the rest of it into his mouth. Shoving the bag towards, you, he ate the worms before smiling.
"Here. Have some. Scary things make me hungry, and I figured that you may need some food too." You smiled softly before shaking your head.
"No thanks. I'm not hungry." He slightly frowned, his brows furrowing.
"If your stomach growls, then you can't deny what it wants. It needs to feed." You giggled slightly at what he said. You were actually starving, but you denied any and all food since you wanted to lose weight. You knew that if you were skinnier, then you'd be pretty and get a boyfriend-everyone has told you that, so you believed them. "(F/n). Eat. Please." You sighed sadly and looked down before grabbing the tablet and rewinding the box. Looking back up, you saw that his frown had grown, and he pretty much upset and/or angered.
"(F/n), did someone make fun of you because of your body?" Shocked at his question, you couldn't help but nod and watch as his frown deepened. "What did they say?" You checked the hall and vents before turning to face him.
"They told me that if I ever wanted to be happy and attractive, then I would have to lose weight. So I recently decided to by not eating." Resting your elbow on the desk, you placed your head in your hand while clutching your stomach with the other.
      "How long?"
"It's been a day and a half." You chuckled slightly before looking at him. "Why am I even telling you this?" He shrugged, the anger on his face fading.
"No idea... but (F/n). No matter what people say, you are gorgeous. You may be large, but you wouldn't look right skinny. Besides, who'd want to cuddle a stick? Not me, that's for sure." His face was covered with a pink dusting, and he hesitated before reaching his hand over to you and brushing a stray strand of your (h/c) hair back behind your ear. He locked his dark orbs with your (e/c) ones before continuing. "All that matters is in here." He put his free hand over his heart. "As long as you're happy and you carry yourself with confidence, you'll be beautiful to all. at as much as you want, just as long as you're happy."
A quiet gasp escaped your mouth as he finished his speech. As tears pricked your eyes, you wiped them away before rewinding the music box. Turning back to him, you saw that his blush had darkened and that his eyes were looking at anything but you. After checking the hall and vents, you turned back to him and wrapped your arms around him. He tensed up before returning the gesture, heat radiating off of him.
"Thanks, Fritz. I appreciate it." You pulled away, smiling. Gently grabbing the bag out of his hand, you reached in and grabbed a few of the worms before popping them into your mouth. A bell went off, alerting you that your shift was over. Standing up, the two of you exited the office and headed towards the main doors, glaring at the animatronics that were now on stage. Exiting the building, the two of you turned to face each other almost simultaneously.
"Well, I guess I'll see you later." Turning around, you began to walk to your car until a hand grabbed yours and pulled you back. Turning around, you saw Fritz looking at anywhere but at you, his face almost as red as his hair.
"Uh..I-I was wondering if we could e-exchange numbers....we don't have to if you don't want..." You giggled slightly before pulling your phone out.
"You're acting like my friend's boyfriend Jeremy." He looked at you, shocked.
"You know Jeremy?" You nodded, smiling. "He's my best friend!"
"All the better then. So, do you want my number or not?" He pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Alright. My number is (p/n)." He entered it into his contacts before sending you a message. Opening the message, you saw that it read "Hi (F/n) :)". You saved his number before putting your phone back in your pocket.
"Thanks (F/n). I'll text you later." You smiled and turned around once again before realizing that you were still holding the bag of gummy worms in your hand and turning around yet again.
"Fritz!" He turned around. "You forgot your gummy worms." He chuckled slightly before smiling.
"You can have them. I can always buy more." You stared at him before smiling.
"Thanks. I'll talk to you later." Getting in your (f/c) car, you waved at him, and started your car. Seeing him wave back, you grinned before pulling out.
You couldn't help but think about the kind, klutzy male and how much your life could be affected by your meeting with him, and couldn't wait to see him again that night.
