Standing in front of the Mystery Shack, you held Dipper's journal in your hand, a slight breeze blowing through your (h/l) (h/c) hair.
You were a resident of Gravity Falls- you've lived here for all (age) years of your life. It only got really interesting when you met Dipper and Mabel Pines, the great-nephew and niece of Stan, the man who ran the Mystery Shack. You and the twins were good friends, and you usually joined them on their investigations.
However, Dipper had left his journal in the woods, and you-being the nice person you were-decided to return it to him. Entering the building, you looked around to see that nobody was around.
"Hello?" Footsteps came from upstairs, and you looked up to see that Stan was standing there.
"Why, hello there (F/n). How can I help you?"
"Hello Mr. Pines. I was wondering if Dipper or Mabel were here." He thought for a moment before shaking his head.
"'Fraid not. They went out with Soos. Something about that baby kid Gideon or something like that." You nodded in understanding.
"Okay, thank you. Is it alright if I hang out here until they return?"
"Sure thing. Just don't break anything or get into trouble without me." He grinned before going back upstairs. Smiling, you sat down on the sofa, setting the journal down next to you and turning the TV on. Switching it to your favorite show, you smiled and sat back, watching the show. Soon, you could feel sleep creeping upon you, and you couldn't help but yawn every once in a while. Being too tired to pay attention to the show, you stretched out on the couch and closed your eyes, falling into a deep slumber.
Standing in your subconscious, which was your house, you looked around. Something, however, was off. Spotting something out of place, you walked over to a darker area in the room. There was a darker shadow standing in the area that usually wasn't there. It was oddly shaped similar to a human, but you couldn't help but feel uneasy. Frowning, you slowly reached out to it and poked it. The shadow moved, which caused you to jump back and fall on the floor.
"Hahaha! Oh man, it's so fun to mess with humans. Seriously, you guys are so stupid and can get so paranoid over little things, I tell ya." The shadow stepped out, and as it-well, he-walked over to you, you scrambled away from him. He was wearing a golden tailcoat jacket with black trousers, shoes, gloves, top hat, and a bow tie. His dress shirt was white, and his coat matched the color of his hair. One eye, a dark brownish-grey, was revealed, while the other was hidden with an eyepatch.
"W-who are you?..."
"The name's Bill! Nice ta meet ya!" Grinning, he snapped his fingers, causing the window to fly open, and much to your shock and disgust, teeth flew into his outstretched hand. As the last one landed on the pile, he held it out to you. "Here you go, (F/n)! Deer teeth!" You crinkled your nose in disgust.
"No thanks! You're insane!" He shrugged before snapping his fingers again, and you watched as the teeth flew back out and the window flew shut.
"I know I am! Thanks!"
"How do you know my name?..."
"Oh, I know lots of things!" His voice dropped to where it was almost a demonic growl for what he said next and his eye flashed with images. "Lots of things..."
"Uhm... okay... What do you want with me?" He smiled, watching you as you stood up, still keeping your distance.
"I just wanted to make a deal with you, kiddo."
"What kind of deal?..." He chuckled and removed his top hat, spinning it in his hands.
"A very simple one. You let me inhabit part of your mind, and I'll help you obtain anything you want." You thought about it, questioning his motives. You were smarter than some people you knew, and you knew better than to randomly trust this person...thing.
"What'll happen if I agree?" He chuckled once more before placing his hat back on his head.
"I'll just live in part of your mind. Every once in a while, I... may take over... but it won't be often."
"Hmm... what did you mean by 'obtain anything I want'?"
"I'll help you with any and every goal you want to accomplish in your puny miserable life. You wanna be a (dream job occupation), right?" You nodded. "I can help you with that, kiddo. All you need to do..." He stuck out a gloved hand, which became engulfed in blue flames. "Is shake my hand."
You stared at it, not only rethinking it over, but a bit afraid of the flames. Reach all of your life goals by allowing Bill to live in your mind? It seemed crazy, but you honestly couldn't deny it. All you could do was hope that you wouldn't regret it in the future.
"Don't worry, (F/n). It won't hurt. Much. All you have to do is shake on it, and your life will be greater than you ever imagined." Sighing, you bit your lip and held your breath before reaching your hand out and shaking his, the blue flames engulfing your hand and burning slightly. A maniacal grin overtook his face before he pulled his hand away, the blue flames disappearing.
"So... what now?" You rubbed your arm slightly, hoping that it would help with the stinging left behind by the fire.
"You wake up, and the deal ensues." He smiled, stepping closer towards you. You backed up until you reached the wall and Bill had trapped you.
"B-Bill?..." He leant his face closer to yours until it was mere inches away from yours, a smirk on his lips.
"See you in your nightmares, kiddo." With that, he closed the distance and you woke up. Sitting up, you looked around to see that the TV was still on. Looking at the clock, you saw that it was 3:27. Sighing, you stretched before thinking of that dream. Noticing blue writing on your hand, you looked at it and read:
"(F/n)- the dream was real. ~Bill."I Noticing more writing underneath, you read it as well. "Look at your other hand." Looking at your other hand, you saw that it was drawn on in blue ink to make it look like a turkey. A note in the center read: "Look! A turkey!" You let out a burst of laughter at that, a smile on your face. Hearing the door open, you picked up the book and watched as Dipper, Mabel, and Soos walked in. Standing up and returning the book, you chatted with them before leaving.
As you walked home, you heard Bill's voice ring in your mind. "Today is the day your life changes, (F/n)."
"Yeah. I bet." Walking into your house, you greeted your family before heading upstairs and laying on your bed. Kicking off your shoes, you slowly drifted off to sleep once more, only to be greeted by Bill once again in your dreams, a smile on his face and his brownish eye gleaming with delight and mischief.
