Chapter 10

~Alison's P.O.V.~

That same day towards end of shift I went over to the CPD. I walked in and walked over to Platt who was behind the desk

"Hey, can I speak to Jay?" I asked

"Who am I your messenger?" She asked as she unlocked the door for to to go upstairs

"Oh Platt, how you always make my day" I said fake smiling with sarcasm. I walked upstairs and saw Jay sitting on his desk

"Hey" He said as he stood up

"Hey" I slightly smiled

"What's going on you okay?" He asked

I nodded "I just.. got suspended today"

"What? What happened?"

"Well Boden had to turn the case over to Chief Riddle. And he decided to suspend me"

"What case?" He asked

"Well since my equipment has gone all wrong. They're investigating it" I said as I sighed

"Damn it"

"I was actually gonna ask if it's okay I go to North Carolina for a couple days"

"North Carolina for what?" He asked

"Well Mills is there and since I'm suspended why not? I have no business here"

He paused but nodded "Okay. When do you leave?"

"In the morning"

He nodded and kissed my head "Just keep me posted okay"

"Of course"

"Alright, becareful"

I nodded and turned around and left. That night I was packing and I called Kelly to come over. He had a key so he just came in

"Hey. How are you?" He asked

"I'm okay. But I called you over because I'm going to North Carolina for a couple days"

"For what?" He asked

I continued packing "Well I have no business here since I'm on suspension and Mills is over there. Figured I could spend a couple days with him"

"But you should be here. Try to clear up your name"

"I didn't do it. Plus if I try to mess with it I will only make things worse"

He nodded "Okay. When do you leave?"

"In the morning. At 8. I spoke to Peter already and he's letting me stay with him"

"Okay. Just be safe and keep my posted"

"Same here" I said

He gave me a hug before he left. The next day Jay drove me to the airport

"Just becareful okay. Stay out of trouble"
