Biology class..

OH MY HOLY GUACAMOLE! May mas lalaki pa ba sa palakang to?! I tried to look at something else other than the humongous frog on the pan that both me and Anne had to dissect. Blech! Gusto kong masuka! =|

Anne: Khalil.

"Yeah?" (girl voice) I quickly clear my throat. "Yeah?" (deep voice)

Anne: Have you heard about that dance on Friday?

"That costume party thing?" I replied, picking up a knife. Magda-dissect kami ng frog ngayon, buti na lang at mukha namang di masyadong nadidiri si Anne.

Anne: Oo, yun nga. Anyway, I was wondering...

"Uh-huh?" I let out while poking the frog with the blunt side of the knife.

Anne: Well, I was wondering if we could go together..

I suddenly froze. Tama ba narinig ko? @_@ "Together?" I repeat, my eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Anne: I mean as friends.

"Si Vhong? Bakit hindi sya?" bigla ko na lang natanong.

I think I saw her winced for a moment then nawala din agad.

Anne: Um..he said he is not yet sure eh. Like 50/50 pa so.. You...you haven't a-asked anyone yet pa naman, right?

Hindi pede kahit gustuhin ko man. Si Vice dapat ang makasama nya. My eyes started to dart around a little until they finally land somewhere to my right, sa pwesto nila Vice at Coleen. Alam ko insensitive etong gagawin ko but.. "Actually, gusto sana kitang tanungin if you'd go out with Vice."

Anne: Excuse me? Sorry, I totally spaced out back there.

I let out a big breath before saying "I was going to ask you if you'd go out with Vice.."

Obvious na nashock sya sa sinabi ko. Hiniwa nya sa tyan ang frog sa aming harapan gamit ang scalpel. Oh boy! I swear pakiramdam ko nagtumbling lahat ng parts ng tyan ko! :<

Itinuon ko na lang ang tingin ko sa face ni Anne.

Anne: Vice?

"Yeah, Vice. Bakit? May problema ba?" I asked, a little worried.

Diniinan pa nya lalo ang paghiwa sa frog hanggang sa tuluyan na itong bumuka, exposing its inside parts. Para syang galit na galit sa kawawang palaka at minumurder eto. Ako naman eto, napakapit ako ng mahigpit sa hawak kong scalpel at yung isa sa tuhod habang nanlalaki ang mga mata. Pinagpapawisan nako ng malamig, feeling ko paakyat na yung mga kinain ko kanina palabas ng bibig ko..

Get a grip, Karylle! I shook my head abruptly.

Anne: Jose...Viceral?

Ibinalik ako sa realidad ng tanong nyang yun. Bakit parang wala sya sa sarili? "Uh ye-yeah? Captain of the basketball team. School Stud Muffin. Mr. MVP. That Vice." I mumbled, discreetly pointing at Vice with my scalpel.

Anne: Oh..

Naglean forward ako kay Anne totally ignoring the murdered frog infront of us, tinitigan ko sya sa mga mata saka bumulong ng "He really really likes you, you know."

Tumungo sya, breaking our eye contact.

"Akala ko ba you said you'd consider it?" I asked.

Anne: I don't know..

"Don't tell me that you don't find him remotely attractive?" I asked again.

Iniikot ni Anne ang swivel chair nya paharap sa direksyon ni Vice, tinangnan nya eto up and down.

"C'mon, he's a really nice guy. Bakit di mo sya bigyan ng chance." I said.

Anne: No.

"C'mon."

Anne: No.

"C'mon."

Anne: No. *shakes head*

"Come on, Anne!" I need to convince her!

She looked me in the eye and said:

Anne: I WON'T go with Vice.

Haiz..mukhang hindi ko na talaga sya makukumbinsi..

Anne: Besides, I asked YOU.

Hindi ako nakasagot, I really don't know what to answer eh. Mga 10 seconds din kaming natahimik.

Anne: Look, I promise to have one dance with Vice.

"Talaga? That'd be great!" I excitedly said. I almost jumped out of my seat. May pag-asa pa pala!

Anne: Sa isang condition.

"Ano yun?" I asked, eyes full of curiosity.

Anne: That I get to have you for the rest of the night.

Wh-what?! My eyebrows shot up! As in UP! Hindi ko na naman alam kung anong isasagot ko. Gosh, why does this have to be so hard?

"I'll....I'll think about it.." I said, slowly. Kelangan ko talaga etong pag-isipan ng mabuti..

Sakto namang tumunog na ang school bell hudyat na tapos na ang klase.

Finally! Tumalon agad ako sa chair ko sabay sling ng bag over my shoulder. "Una nako, bye!" nagmamadali kong paalam kay Anne, halos patakbo nakong lumabas ng room.

Geez..this is getting more and more complicated. I have to tell Vice about this. Maaari syang magalit pero kahit na, kelangan ko pa din sabihin sa kanya. Tama! That's the right thing to do. I will tell him later sa dorm..
