Emma's room had light pink walls, a soft white carpet, and a big bay window with dark pink curtains. Her white brass bed sat in one corner with pink sheets, a white lacy princess comforter, and had a pink canopy over it. On the bed sat a soft, light brown teddy bear. She had a princess nightlight plugged in beside the bed and a pink lamp sat on her nightstand. Beside her bookshelf which sat by her window, there was a big dark pink beanbag. In the corner beside the door there was a time-out stool with an attached timer.

Trent's room had light blue walls, a light grey carpet, and he also had a bay window with dark blue curtains. His dark grey bed had red sheets with a blue and red striped comforter and a dark brown bear. He insisted he didn't need a night light but I got him a baseball one and put it beside the door in case he wakes up to go to the bathroom at night. He has a bookshelf as well with a blue beanbag. There was also a timeout chair with a timer in the corner by his door.

They both look at me shocked. Trent was the first one to find his words, "You mean we each get our own rooms?"

"Of course you do buddy. What else would I do with 3 bedrooms?" I ask as I pull them both into my sides in a hug.

"We had 3 rooms in our old house..." Emma started, "but me and Trent had to sleep in the same one. Sometimes we had to sleep in the garage when our old mommy had friends over. They played loud music and it was hard to sleep."

It sounded like their old "mommy" had friends over and partied a lot. The more I learned about this woman the more I hoped Jessica would call with good news.

Short again, I know. I've had a lot going on with school, work, and some personal issues. I usually have a hard time around this time of year and it's getting worse and worse the older I get...

I'm gonna try something new... Author Ask! Ask me some questions and I'll answer them before the next chapter is posted. I might do a Character Ask later on.
