"Morning everybody" Jayda greets
In my mind I'm like oh shit... my mom about to go left I kind of didn't get the chance to tell her Jayda live here now. The awkward silence filled the room as Jayda took a seat at the table even desires little ass was staring between the two
"You must be Jayda, desires mother?" My mom ask calmer then I expected
"Yes.. I'm um jayda" Jayda stutters out
Watching my mother stand to her feet and calmly walk towards her I decided to interfere that's my mom and all but I don't need this drama with Jayda
"Boy what are you doing?" She ask
"MA I can't let you hit her"
"Hit her?! Boy move I'm tryna give my daughter in law a hug" she laughs before mushing my head to the side and stepping up to Jayda and actually pulled her into a hug

Once I zoned back in Jayda was already calling her mom and everything
"I was mad at you for keeping this beautiful little girl from my son but as we see life is to short to be mad... you and my grand baby could've been dead but yall are here so we're gone leave all that in the past and start over ok?" My mother ask before kissing Jayda's cheek and wiping her fallen tears
"Now that we're over all of that... when's my next grand baby coming don't you think it's time to get started?" My mother ask
Making the awkward tension come back already
"Ok bye mom desire needa get to school" I hurriedly rush her to her car before loading Jayda and desire in the car
The car ride was filled with nothing but desire talking and my dreading the ride back with Jayda alone . Neither of us had mentioned the kiss we shared a couple of days ago and had been avoiding each other but with my mother bringing up the thought of us having another kid I knew it was way in heavy on both our minds
Pulling up to the curb desire had already start telling Me she didn't need me to walk her in because she's a big girl plus all her friends got to walk themselves in. And like any other day I ignored her and carried her into the school
I placed multiple kisses upon her first before leaving even though she had her little attitude she wanted her kisses
As I walked back to the truck I couldn't help but think about how drastic my life had changed since desires been in it. Man I love that little girl
Climbing back in the car the silence took back over.. after about twenty minutes of driving I decided to speak on this shit
"Look Jayda about that kiss. I was just acting in the moment I ain't really mean for it to happen how it did and I think it's best we just stay friends and coparent" I paused then look over to her to see a blank look on her first
"I mean if this was some years ago I would be willing to try the whole relationship thing but I just can't get over that you just now telling me-"
"Yea I get it you could never trust me plus I'm not really ready for a relationship after all what happen with nick"
"Yea I think we just work best as friends"
"Yea I totally understand"
