Chapter 4

It's been a six months since I started work in Downey Corp. as the Secretary for the CEO, It's nice to be working with Robert, Mr. Brooke who now asking me to call him with 'Nathan', and all the staff below me. I know I said it's nice and I like it here but I got so much work to do since then, I seriously need a break because weekend is not enough for me this past week. The last three weeks were busy and stressful all day doing the reports, manage the spreadsheets, handling visitors, and many more.

Last week Robert's Computer had a problem caused him lost all his data from the computer but thankfully he always give the back up data to Nathan and some on his hard-drive. He was totally mad the moment it happened, and We don't like him when he's mad, Robert became so mean to everyone when he's mad. Thinking about all that events that happened the past weeks making me sure that i need a break, and what a lucky week this week, Robert asked me to re-schedule the meetings to next week.

I read the memo on my door when I arrived from the lobby after escorting a client to the lobby with Nathan because Robert had an offsite meeting with a client. I took it out and looking for Nathan who still standing in front of his door reading the same memo as mine I guess.

"You come?" Nathan asked me lifting his eyebrows

"I don't know, I have a movie marathon with my bestfriend tonight," I shrugged my shoulder and get inside my office

I made a plan with Scarlett tonight after missing many episodes of our favorite netflix series, but it's a good thing that Robert finally realized we need a break. Well, I know it's still early but I gotta finished my work for today, so I can be home early and get ready for my movie marathon with Scarlett.

I was concentrating on my Computer screen when my iPhone ring, I turned my eyes to the phone beside the keyboard, Dion's name on the screen. Please don't tell me he just bored this time and call me

"Hey Brother, what's up?" I answered the call

"I just missed you, why do you sound like that?" he asked

"I missed you too, but you know that my work is not finish until six right?" I asked sluggishly

"Okay, okay. Actually I'm calling you just to say that I'm going to Bahamas with Mom and Dad this weekend," He squealed like a little girl

Really? Short getaway without me?

"You know what? You shouldn't tell me that when I'm still have many things to do here," I tried to calm myself

I can hear his laugh so loud make my head hurts

"Too bad, I think you should get out from there so you wouldn't miss any trip like this, Talk to you later," He said and just hung up

I cleared up the finished papers right at the lunch time, usually the three of us in this floor get a lunch together but I don't know if Robert is done with the meeting or not, I'll just check his office.

I knocked on his door and heard him say 'Come In'. I opened the door founding Robert standing under the air-con in his room with unbuttoned shirt with sweaty, messy hair, he look just like he was chased by a dog.

"What are you doing under the air-con? What happened to your shirt and your hair? Did you just arrive?" I asked him repeatedly

"Please, ask your question one-by-one Miss Johnson," He said still breathless and wagging his shirt collar
