Matilda was careful to wave and smile at all the girls and boys. she noticed a deference in everyone. By the end of the day she had 4 invitations to birthday parties, 7 invites to the mall and 1 girl invited her to go swimming with her next week. she felt wonderful and best of all, she felt normal. that night, she had a dream. in the dream she was falling down an endless hold filled with skulls and blood until she hit the bottom. she was in a small room with lots of mirrors. But She didn't see her smiling self. she saw herself yesterday. in her long black dress and floppy gross boots. she smiled. but suddenly her old self burst into flames until the reflection was of a pile of bones. that was when she woke up. She wiped her eyes, she was happier now, she was popular! in one day she became the most popular girl in school! But something wasn't right. she wasn't herself. Matilda had become a stranger. but was it for the best?
