Chapter 10

A/N: I feel like I left you guys hanging by a thread with that last chapter, so here's the next one! Enjoy!

*Connor's POV*

I ran across the street to my house and ignored the questions that came from my mother. Instead, I stormed straight to my room and slammed the door. I sat down on the floor with my back against the door (Unintentional rhyming...) and put my head in my hands.

Was it something that I said? Did I do something wrong? Does she have a boyfriend? No, that's not possible. Lexie would've said something about it when Mariella told her that she liked me. So, what did I do to deserve this?

*Mariella's POV*

I sat on the floor for about ten minutes before my eyes were finally as dry as the desert back home. I had to talk to SOMEONE. I couldn't talk to Lexie because she has recital today. I could call Paul, but this is something that is too awkward to talk to him about. So, the only person i could talk to was Kim.

I ran upstairs and powered up my laptop. Then, I Skyped Kim. When her face popped up, I noticed that Lexie was there too.

Kim isn't as fast as noticing certain things as Lexie is, so she didn't notice that my eyes were all red and puffy. That is, until Lexie mentioned it, "Why were you crying? Do I need to fly over there and kick someone's-"

"LEXIE! Calm down! It was my fault anyways."

Lexie's eyes narrowed, "Spill."

I told them about what Sarah had said to me earlier, how I couldn't stop thinking about it, about Connor kissing me, and about how I had kicked him out of the house. After, I was beathless and crying.

"Well, you need to find out about what REALLY happened between Sarah and Connor," Kim said.

"Yeh? No shit, Einstein," I replied. I laughed a little bit as I rubbed my eyes.

"You could ask him what happened," Lexie suggested.

"Oh, hell no."

"Ask one of his friends!"

"That, is actually a good idea."

"Then do it!"

"I will. Thanks a bunch. I'll call you back tomorrow to let you know how it goes. Bye!"

"Bye!"

I powered down my laptop, changed into my pajamas, and went to bed.

Extremely short chapter, but I think you guys will survive. :) So what happens next? Will Mariella and Connor get back on speaking terms? Will Mariella find out what happened? Stay tuned to find out! (Oh my god that sounds so cheesy...)
