"Guys I don't think we should be doing this," Xander says.
Jack and I glare at him. "Since when do you get a say?" I ask.
"Since I'm the only one who seems to care about Leo's plan," Xander says.
"You know nothing," Jack says. "I'm his best friend. I'm the one who knows him best."
Xander crosses his arms. "He did that to save everyone, to make up for my stupidity, and to keep the rest of us out of harms way. Am I the only one who understands that?"
"He does have a point," McKenna says.
"You're defending him!?" Jack asks. "McKenna!"
"He's not wrong and Leo will be fine," McKenna says.
"How can you be so sure?" I ask.
McKenna glares at me. "You know, you're just as bad as Xander."
That takes me completely by surprise.
"That's a lie!" I exclaim.
"You were a traitor longer than Xander! Why would you switch sides all of the sudden?" McKenna asks, challenging me.
"Sofia abandoned me!" I exclaim.
"That's bull," McKenna says. "You're a double agent for her!"
"McKenna, she's been fighting with us the entire time," Jack says. "Leo trusts her."
"I'm not convinced," McKenna says.
I'm about to shoot ice at her, but Jack holds me back.
"We need to stop arguing," Jack says. "Something is tearing us apart."
"It's because Leo left us," I say bitterly.
"Then let's split up," McKenna says. "Xander and I will go anywhere else."
"Splitting up has done us no good," Jack says.
"Well I don't care," McKenna says.
She makes a viewing portal and it quickly turns into a walking portal and she and Xander disappear through.
I look at Jack. "Now what?" Jack doesn't answer. "Hello? Earth to Jack?"
He looks at me. "Teleport us to Boston, Massachusetts. We need the final piece to the puzzle."
"What's the final piece to the puzzle?" I ask.
"I remember Hayley mentioning something about a prophecy," Jack says.
"We already found it," I say. "That's when we found out Leo was a Novus."
"That wasn't it," Jack says. "It's something else."
"Okay so what is in Boston that will help us?" I ask.
"Hayley is," Jack says. "She lives there. I'm assuming she went back there after everything that happened in Europe."
I nod. "So did you and Hayley ever date?"
Jack drops his wand and Patricia's and looks at me.
"Excuse me?" Jack asks. I see his cheeks turn pink.
I laugh. "Did you and Hayley ever date?"
Jack shakes his head no. "I mean I thought about it, but it was always Cassie."
I look at him. "Why her though? What was so special about her?"
Jack shrugs. "Her boldness was always getting her into trouble. I guess I liked being the one to get her out of it." He takes my arm. "Shall we?"
I smile and teleport us to Boston, Massachusetts.
