Chapter nine~

|| Levi's POV ||

It's been a week since the incident and I still haven't found that cursed called Annie. I've put my best man on this case, he was also my best friend from childhood. He was a tall man,  with blond hair, striking blue eyes, and the most bushy eyebrows I have ever seen. Y/n had gone back to her daily routine, but I had requested she now has a body guard with her at all times. every night I check on her just in case. Her parent and sisters have now been under put protection as an extra precaution. end of log.

Closing my book I sighed. I gazed out the window and look out over the town, the busy people doing their errands, the children playing in the streets. I was interrupted by a knock on my door.

"Come in" I murmured, in came in the king, Y/N's father. I stood up quickly and bowed.

"Ah levi... I have some urgent business to talk to you about" he said sitting down on one of the chairs across from my desk. Raising my eyebrow in confusion he continued.

"You must marry Y/N as soon as possible, I would like to assure the safety of my people and my family. My dear daughter Y/N has already been crowned queen, now all she needs a king to rule with her." My eyes widened a bit then softened. Bowing to him I said-

"I oath to you my king I will protect Y/N"

"I hope you do Levi" He says before leaving.

2 hours later
The proposal has been swirling in my head for the past two hours, should I propose or should I just mention it to her...tch... Sighing I called over Sebastian. He quickly came in,

"Yes my lord?" He said

"Fetch me mothers jewelry box" he have me a small smirk.

"Finally going to do it your majesty?" Rolling my eyes I dismissed him.

|| Y/N's POV ||
I was in the gazebo, in the middle of the garden. Levi has been ignoring me lately, when he sees me he quickly turns the other way, I have no idea why, sighing I gaze out seeing the colors, the smells of flowers surrounded me, I was alone painting the flowers in front of me. Mixing the different colour palettes, smiling at the colours I look out to the garden. I noticed sebastian coming towards me, smiling I faced him.

"Good afternoon Sebastian," bowing to me Sebastian gave me a piece of paper. Giving a confused look I took the paper out of his hands. With a bow he left me to myself, I unfolded the note it read-

Dear Y/N,
I have a surprise for you, figure out the riddle and follow it to your next clue.
A place of luxury, relaxation and your own place for your own. Where you can be yourself and be alone.
Levi~

That was the end of the note, let's see...how about my bedroom?  Cleaning up my paints I headed to my bedroom, walked the endless halls which I somehow memorized over the years. I finally got to my bedroom, I opened the door an looked around for the next clue. I stopped at me bed, there was a single red rose with a note beside it. Smiling I brought the rose to my nose and breathed in, the note read-

Follow the trail of petals, and you will find the next clue
Levi~

Looking around the room I see the petals leading to the balcony. Opening the glass double doors and warm breeze hit my face. Looking at the end of the trail was another note, picking it up I read-

So I'm guessing you found this, well now here's something easier just go to the kitchen and you will find the next clue

Walking back to my room I closed the double doors and headed my way to the kitchen. I walked through the hallways, going down the endless twists and turns I finally got to the kitchen. Slowly opening the door, a sweet aroma filled my nose, looking around I found two of my families cooks Ymir and Christa. They both turned around and gave me a smile,

"We have been waiting for you Y/N" said Christa cheerfully. She came over to me and gave me yet another piece of paper. Raising an eyebrow I read what was written on the note-

Okay you are almost done, just this last place. Meet me back at the garden.
Levi~

Looking back up to Ymir and Christa they smiled at me.

"Thank you Ymir, Christa I will be taking me leave" they both bowed and went back to cooking.

Walking down all the way back to the garden I finally make it, I walk down the marble steps. The sun has just started to set, the sunlight glittering against the pond. I stop at the end of the steps looking around, I continue walking until I see the gazebo. There he was, a boutique of roses in his hand. I came closer and he gave me the flowers, taking a deep breath of the crimson roses. I looked up, Levi nowhere to be found. Pulling the bouquet to my chest I looked down to see Levi on his knees. Immediately I started tearing up, everything started going blurry, the roses fell out of my hands as I covered my face. Tears streaming down my face, Levi pulled out a small velvet box and opened it, inside was a silver ring with three diamonds in the middle.

"Y/N, we haven't known each other for...wait no...tch...I didn't practise enough" he said looking away

"Levi just say it, without all the formalities" I chuckled

"Y/Nwillyoumarryme?"He said quickly, nodding my head he put the ring on my ring finger and hugged me.

"This is beautiful" five minutes pass...

"You do know we are already engaged right Levi?" I said burying my face in his chest.

"I'm French, I must do this for my queen." He mumbled

"I love you, Y/N"

"I love y-" I was cut off, I felt a horrid pain in my back. I lifted a hand to where the pain started and brought it back to my face. I screamed in horror, as I saw crimson liquid staining my fingers. Everything started getting darker, the whole world around started to fade, I looked at Levi's face, and for the first time I saw him crying.

GOMENASAI I haven't been updating this story sorry for the wait, but I got writers block for a little bit so yea. Right now I'm freaking out, there was an earthquake at 11:43am last night for me so I got really freaked out. Apparently there is going to be much more, and there is this one called the big one coming, let Levi's muscles be with me as kamisama be praying for me. Btw guys happy New Years!!
