Well, I guess I had better do this profile, as I'm sure most of you guys are dying to know more about her backstory. (Or, well, just interested in it.) Anyway, I won't make this a very long author's note, and lets get straight to it!
Jasmine (Jaz) Grace was born as an identical twin to Michael Grace, besides that she is a girl. But when she was born, Aphrodite immediately swooped in to take her up to Olympus to prepare her for the life she would need to lead.
Long before she travelled to her home in Tartarus, Jaz was raised on Olympus by Hecate, Aphrodite, Hestia, Athena and Artemis. She was taught how to use purple fire magic by Hecate, and gained the power to use the flames to her will, hence why she is the 'Girl With The Flames'.
On her seventh birthday, her caregivers farewelled her and she was sent to the deepest pit in Hades; Tartarus. She lived there as a guardian to any demigods who quested down there, but none came.
As she grew up, she began training using a combination of her fire powers and a sword. Monsters began to sense that she was more dangerous than she seemed, and each day a new one challenged her.
The first time she was ever challenged was by Medusa. After a few weeks, she realised that this would be her daily routine; wake up, fight whichever monster had challenged her, get her daily haul of food, go home, have lunch, train for the whole afternoon and then go to bed again.
When she was thirteen, she was taken out of Tartarus for nine months to help protect Zoe Jackson from monsters. The two girls became friends, before at the dance they were attacked by some monsters and Jaz had to flee back to Tartarus and Millie and Zoe to Camp Half-Blood.
