The planet of Naboo was, even though he had visited before, unfamiliar enough to Anakin, but the warmth of love between a family was even more foreign.

The day on which Anakin had arrived at Padmé's house on Naboo with her as her Jedi Protector was a day of change. Anakin had never felt so wanted. So welcome. So loved.

He was relieved by the fact Jobal and Ruwee Nabérrie had taken interest in him, including Sola, Padmé's sister whom she was very close with.

That night, Anakin laid in bed, thinking about how much he had taken to Padmé's family already, and how excited he was for what was yet to come. He couldn't contain himself, he was so anxious.

He knew very well that his Master would be disappointed in him, but he couldn't help but think about Padmé and how beautiful she was. He couldn't help but think about and map out their future.

Anakin turned over in bed, breathing out in satisfaction. He was comfortable here in Naboo. The landscape and buildings were beautiful. The atmosphere was calm and comfortable. And most importantly, the people in Naboo were relaxed and collected.

But Anakin's thoughts still traveled back to Padmé. There's only one truly beautiful woman here, Anakin told himself as he ran through the positivities of Naboo. And that's Padmé.

Anakin dreamed of Padmé even more than usual, all through the night. When he woke up the next morning, his name being called, his face was buried in his pillow. He soon realized that he was dreaming of Padmé just before that, and hearing her voice, he cuddled the pillow and held it tight against him as if it were about to escape his grasp right before him.

Realizing also that he was kissing the pillow, he let out a cry of disgust and shot up, throwing it across the room.

"Anakin?" A voice called. Padmé ran in, standing under the doorframe.

"Huh?" Anakin replied absentmindedly, a little caught off guard by Padmé's sudden appearance.

Padmé's cheeks turned a light shade of pink when she saw the bare top-half of Anakin sitting across from her. She pushed away her thoughts about it and smiled softly. "Good morning, Ani. Breakfast is ready if you want some."

"I'll be down there in a minute," he replied, the sight of Padme's beauty distracting him. Instead of the tighter, natural curls Padmé usually sported, there were big, shiny ones replacing them. Rare as it was, they were down, free of any ornate headdress or other pieces to contain them. Her huge, loose curls fell below her shoulders and traveled down her spine. Anakin smiled at the thought of her hair straight; the locks would fall past her waist.

"Meet you down in the kitchen," Padmé told him, snapping him out of his fantasizes thoughts.

He met eyes with her and nodded as she walked away, her beautiful image still burned into his mind.

He didn't think that image would ever fade, even if he ceased to physically see her for another decade.

Anakin tried not to think of another decade without her. He would probably go through withdrawal from not seeing her, he was so in love.

And that, he decided, would never happen. One way or another, he would win her love. Maybe with another kiss, perhaps...
