"guys?" hailz says as we make it to the park. we all look to her, curious as to what she might say. "we only have five hours left..."

that makes everyone look at each other. no one has a word to say due to the shocking realization. 

"whatre we going to do?" she asks.

"well, what do you wanna do?" dan asks.

"uh-i-i-um..." she stammers.

"i say we go find someone who knows a thing or two about curses and get rid of it," i speak up.

"if only it were that easy," johnny scoffs, looking down at me.

"what do you mean?" i ask him.

"let's just spend the time we have left having some kind of fun, ok?" he says to me quietly.

"b-but i -" i get cut off.

"johnny's right, sj," joel says.

"but joel, dont you want to end this curse?" elise asks, sadly.

joel looks at her lovingly. "of course i do."

"where is the 'but' to that sentence?" hailz asks.

"we dont want to force anything upon you guys," bradley says.

"we dont want you guys to feel responsible for our fate," adam tells us.

"but we already are!" she says sternly.

this whole time, ive been looking at johnny. he just now notices.

"whatre you thinking, sj?" he asks me.

"you guys dont love us..." i say quietly.

he frowns. "what are you talking about?"

"that is why you guys dont want us to end this curse for you: you dont love us."

hailz and elise look at me, then each other. "sj...?"

"why would you think that?" johnny asks me.

"holy shit!" hailz whispers.

"what if she is right?" elise wonders.

"you guys are crazy," dan scoffs in disbelief.

"why else would you guys tell us no to figuring out this curse?" hailz asks.

i shake my head. hailz and elise walk towards me and away from the boys. "i cant believe we wasted this whole night on you guys!"

"sj wait!" johnny demands.

"no. figure this out yourself," i say as i break into a run.

hailz and elise follow me.
