12.Uninvited Arrival and a Wedding Tornado

Within the next few hours the Manor was transformed into a wedding tornado and it was sure to stay that way for the next few days. The occupants of the house eventually changed into comfortable clothing and Hermione was delighted to learn that her parents had been invited by Narcissa to stay until the wedding.

The dining room was piled high with fabrics and the west sitting room had been turned into a veritable dress shop with the amount of dresses and their designers who were all waiting to show off their creations to the Golden Girl. Over the next few days they would be visited by chefs and bakers – all vying for the opportunity to cater the biggest wedding of the year. Hermione and Draco sat in the dining room choosing lace when a loud ruckus was heard outside. They shared a wary look and went to investigate.

On the front lawn was a fuming Ron Weasley suspended in the air by his ankle, shouting profanity at his sister who simply looked bored, Harry and the others had apperated on the lawn - they had gone back to Grimmauld place to change - seconds before Ron had arrived.

"Ginny I swear you better put me down or I'll beat the snot out of you!" he yelled and Ginny scoffed up at the flailing man

"Yes Ronald because that is such an incentive to let you down?" she said with a roll of her eyes before dropping him straight on his head. Finally Hermione noticed a red and shaking Lavender Brown who stood behind Ron when he got to his feet.

"What are you doing here Ron" Hermione said coldly – ignoring Lavender completely, Draco draping his jacket over her shoulders tenderly when she shivered at the cold wind that whipped through the manor grounds. She leaned back in his arms and waited. For a moment Ron could only gape at her and Lavender finally broke the silence

"You're a bitch!" she shrieked and Hermione raised a brow in query,

"I am?" Hermione asked in a bored tone and Draco smirked,

"Yes! You're trying to ruin mine and Wonwon's special day!" she screamed and Hermione burst into hysterical laughter, she wiped fake tears from her eyes before glaring at the woman before her coolly

"The only bitch I see here, is you" she sneered and Draco chuckled softly,

"Don't you dare speak to my fiancé that way!" Ron yelled and Draco pierced him with a cold glare that was copied by Harry, George, Luna and Ginny. The red head froze and looked up at the group in shock as they moved to stand behind Hermione and Draco – their support quite obvious for the couple

"We'll ask you one last time, Weasley, what are you doing on our property" Draco said in an intimidating tone and Lavender Brown squeaked, hiding behind Ron.

"Your property!? We're here because you're trying to sabotage our wedding!" Ron said angrily and Hermione giggled

"By having our wedding? Don't be ridiculous Ronald, how could that possibly be a plot to sabotage your wedding?" Hermione asked and Draco grinned

"And yes Weasley, our property – what's mine is Hermione's. Oh and, in order for us to want to sabotage your wedding we would have to care that you were having one – and I assure you – there are other things to keep us busy at night than plotting revenge on you for being absolute scum" Draco said coolly and Lavender's jaw dropped

"Is that why you're rushing the wedding? Because you got her knocked up!?" she shrieked and Hermione giggled at the expression on Ron's face

"No" Hermione said simply and Draco laughed

"Unlike you, Ron, I don't mind that Hermione wants to wait for our wedding night and neither does she" Drake said and smiled down at his fiancé who grinned back at him, lifting up on her toes to kiss his cheek tenderly, Ron made a strangled sound in the back of his throat and Lavender just glowered.
