Her dad's (lets call him Marcus) plan was to blow up the station they were living in. Her friend (lets call him Jake) quickly put her into an escape pod and sent her to Earth as the station exploded, and she was malfunctioning and broken without Jake to repair her. So she put up a tracker for the nearest electrical help, and that lead her here.
