"Have you ever had your makeup done?" Rose asked Aaliyah as she grabbed all of Aaliyah's makeup
"My mom taught me how to do it, and I've tried on myself but no, no one has ever done my makeup like professionally" Aaliyah explained as she sat patiently
"I wouldn't say I'm professional, I've just had a couple more years of experience" she laughed as she started Aaliyah's makeup.

"What do you mean she has no place to stay?" Karen asked confused
"Mom, her dad abuses her" Shawn said quietly
"Oh my god" Karen dropped the towel she had in her hand to cover her mouth "Are those- what those- is that why she had bruises?"
"Yeah" Shawn whispered nodding
"Oh my gosh" Karen said shaking her head "I've always seen the movies but I've never met someone who has ever experienced that"
"I haven't either until I met Rose"
"She can stay here as long as she wants" Karen said getting her senses back
"She has some other people to go to if it's too much" Shawn assured
"She's always welcome here" Karen said "Have you- has she- what's going on with her dad?"
"We have that under control" Shawn said "I think" he whispered
"If you need help with anything I'm always here"
"I know" Shawn smiled
"Shawn! Shawn!" Aaliyah rushed down the stairs "Rose did my makeup!"
"She did what now?" Shawn asked standing up and grabbing his sister and catching her before she ran around the kitchen. Rose came down the stairs slowly, staying at the end of the stair case watching the whole thing happen.
"Look!" Aaliyah closed her eyelids to show off her makeup
"What is this?!" Shawn yelled exaggerated "What is this colored stuff on your eyes?! I don't like it!"
"I think she looks gorgeous" Karen smiled at Rose who smiled back sweetly
"I do too! And that's the problem!" he shrieked turning her upside down making her shriek "All the boys will find her cute too and then date her and take her away from me"
"Never" Aaliyah laughed
"Good! Cause you are not allowed to date until you are thirty" Shawn said turning her back upright
"Mom! I'm going to the neighbors" Aaliyah yelled and ran out the door
"I'm going upstairs to get ready for work" Karen said kissing Shawn's cheek and patting Rose's shoulder before heading upstairs
"Morning" Shawn smiled
"Good morning" Rose smiled shyly walking over to the counter
"Do you want anything to eat?" Shawn asked grabbing some plates
"Um sure" she smiled "How did you sleep?"
"Good" he lied, he was up all night thinking about what to do about Rose "And you?"
"Good" she smiled even though she was up all night too thinking about her dad
"What did you want to do today?" Shawn asked setting some pancakes in front of her
"Thank you" she smiled "Um I don't really care it's up to you"
"I know Cameron wanted to check on you but we don't have to do anything other than that"
