"No, no, no, no," Race rushed off the porch, Jack following on his tail. "You cannot be here, you ain't here, this is some eh, hallucination from me drinkin,"

"You was drinkin'?" Jack demanded.

"Um, no," Race turned the attention of him and back to the two Brooklynites. "What the hell do you think you's doin'?!"

"At this point, I ain't really sure," Spot says.

"You left Brookyln. Jack, did you hear me?! Spot Conlon left-"

"Well Spot Conlon needs ta go back," Jack says.

"What?" Bucky and Spot say.

"You--"

"Austin!" They heard a horse run around from the back fields to the front of the house, with Austin as the rider. Luckily, he didn't see them.

"If that's Austin," Race says, looking at Jack.

"Kenny," They both say.

"Get inside, quickly!" Race pushes both boys inside.

"What are ya doin--"

"Shh!!!" They're pushed all the way upstairs. Race shoves them into his room that he shared with Jack and David. He slams the door shut, panting and wiping his forehead.

"What was that all about?" Bucky asks.

"Yeah, what's the big idea? Who was that?" Spot says, shoving his cap back onto his head.

"Listen, Kenny can't know ya here. You's gonna hide up here. Shouldn't be too hard, she spends day and night out in the fields wit Austin--just be quiet until me and Jack figure dis out."

Race exits the room, leaving Bucky and Spot confused as hell.

"Who the hell is that guy?" Bucky says, looking out of the window that overlooked the front yard. Finally, they got a glimpse of Kenny. She had her straw hat hanging back, the string around her neck. She was riding a black horse, and she approached 'Austin'. He was also riding. He laughed at something she said, and Spot immediately picked up on the way he looked at her as she looked at the mountains.

"We's got a situation."

<>

"Whatja do wit 'em?" Jack asks Race in a whisper.

"I put em in our room."

"No, Race. We need ta get rid of 'em. Don't cha see how happy she is? He'll ruin it all,"

"No, he won't. She's out wit Austin all day anyways. Until we figure out what ta do wit em, they can sleep in the barn." Race says.

"You better not mess this up, Race,"

"Cmon Jackie, when do I mess up?"

Jack rolls his eyes and goes into the kitchen to help David, and to most likely tell him what's going on. Race sighs and looks out to where, of course, Kenny is.

<>

"I'll neva' get tired of this view," Kenny leans against the tree, watching the sunset over the mountains.

"Me either," Austin stares at her, her hair blowing slightly in the wind.

"New York got views like this sometimes, if you's in the right place."

The right place would be, a) the Brooklyn Bridge, or b) the Brooklyn docks. Manhattan had too many tall buildings to enjoy a sunset.

"That's why Santa Fe's the American Dream, Ken."

"Says Jack anyways,"

Perfect movie moment, right? The couple looks at the sunset then shares a passionate kiss. They've kissed before, a month and a half ago. Austin felt so strongly for Kenny, he could stare at just her for hours. Kenny would be lying if she said she wasn't attracted to Austin as well, but she could never match his intense feelings.

"Should we bring in the horses? I think Jack wanted everyone to gather for barbecue tonight." Austin says.

"Sure," Kenny said, smiling as he kissed her.

The two raced each other back to the barn, putting the horses back in their stables. Inside the house, Blink was throwing a ball across the living room to Mush.

"Butterfingers!" Blink yelled.

"At least I got two eyes!"

"At least I can catch!"

"Put the ball down so we can eat!" David calls. "Skit, get the towels,"

"Come help me set up chairs!" Jack calls to Austin.

"I'm gonna wash up," Kenny says.

"Go with her," David says to Les. Les, now almost eleven, happily followed.

Hearing approaching footsteps, Bucky and Spot jumped into the closet, peering through the wooden panels. Les walked in first, then Kenny.

"Ken, you up here?" They heard.

"Yeah,"

Austin walks in as well. Kenny dunks her hands in the water as well as Les.

"Les, I think David's calling you,"

"Okay,"

"We'll catch up with you," Kenny scrubs her hands together. "You's havin' dinner wit us?"

Austin nods, handing her a towel to wipe her hands.

"For a stable boy, you spend a lot of time eating with us,"

Austin smirks, pulling her close. "Don't act like you don't enjoy my company,"

He leans down to kiss her, which Spot recoils at. Bucky frowns as well.

"Get out so I can change," Kenny grins, closing the door. Bucky glances at Spot, who's panicked. Kenny picks up some new clothes that are folded, and starts to strip of her current ones. Spot covers his eyes, and silently whacks Bucky to do the same. Whoever said Spot was a womanizer wasn't wrong, but they were when they said he didn't have respect for girls.

Once they heard Kenny leave, they let out their breaths and got out of the closet.

"So, that's Austin." Bucky says.

"Looks like she moved on,"

<>

"This food is amazin'," Blink groans.

"Thanks," David says.

"I'll go clean up," Race walks away to the kitchen. He grabs some food and sneaks upstairs.

"Here. I brought you some food. Go to the barn, you's will be sleepin' there for the time being. Jack is lettin' you stay in here during the day, and there at night." Race says.

"Thank you," Bucky says. The two quietly go downstairs and out the front door to the barn. Inside, three horses are in their stables, eating or sleeping.

"Spot, are you okay?"

Spot is silent for a moment.

"No," He decides. "But it's my price to pay for what I did to her,"

I suck

Hey! So quick author's note!

I just want to say thank you if you've gotten this far. This means to me that you don't think this story is absolute trash, so I love you for that!

This story is no where over yet, I'm afraid I'm too emotionally attached to let it go just yet ... So more Kenny to come!

I do have an announcement...I have recently been working on another story!! I'm going to publish it soon, I think! It's obviously going to be a a Spot fanfic, but I've worked it to be in a modern setting..so let's see how that works out...but I'm excited to release it!

Again, thank you! Xx
