...did y'all seriously think that I would kill Vic? I mean I've come to that point in the past but the only time I did actually kill him was for a good cause haha...
anyway, I know that I can be horrible on occasion, but jesus have some faith in poor old me 😁 let's carry on shall we!

<==> Vic's POV <==>
"Do you like it, Angel? Is it comfortable enough?" I asked my little girl as she lay in the crib that I had built for her.
She just stared up at me and contently sucked on her binki.
"She looks pretty satisfied." Alysha, my brother's girlfriend, said, grinning and leaning into the crib to pull the small blanket over Elise's body.
"Yeah, she's easily pleased." I noted as I smiled, grateful for how much easier being a parent was than I had expected it to be just over a month ago. Or perhaps I was just lucky because she wasn't a difficult baby. She didn't cry a whole lot and she slept more than anything.
"Easily pleased?" Alysha wondered. "And you're sure she's actually yours?" She joked.
I rolled my eyes and bent over to kiss Elise on the forehead before we left the room that I was slowly turning into a nursery.
There hadn't been a thing that I could do when it came to finding Crystal, so taking care of my daughter was my priority. Making things for the nursery was also kind of a distraction as well as a way to get rid of my frustrations.
Honestly, busying myself with Elise or my usual jobs were the only things that kept me from losing it.
Each and every day I became more fearful that it was all but too late and that when Crystal would be found, that they'd be bringing her back in a body bag. It gave me nightmares.
"So, how are you feeling, big brother?" My younger, and only, brother asked me as I entered the living room again.
I shrugged a little. "Hanging by a thread." I admitted in all honesty.
"I'm sure they'll find her." It was all he ever said. But I couldn't blame him for that. No one really knew what to say. And how could they? This wasn't exactly an every day situation. No one was prepared for this kinda shit.
My phone rang the second I sat down, so I sighed a little and got up again, made my way to the phone on the wall and answered the call.
"Vic Fuentes here." I said, a little bored. Usually when people called this number they were clients. And I didn't really feel like talking to any, but business is business.
"Yeah, hi- glad you picked up. I don't know if you remember me, but it's Kellin uh. . . Quinn. I was with you on that island." The person on the other end said.
"Right, the therapist." I remembered.
"Yes!" He confirmed quickly. "I'm really sorry that I'm the one telling you this, but. . . I'm currently standing outside a LAPD holding cell, and um- they have Jared."
My heart immediately skipped a beat. They had him?! They actually finally found him?!
"I just finished talking to him. . . or well, I tried to talk to him, but he just kept ranting on." Kellin then continued. "He had Crystal- the girl who was with us back there- and he kept talking about her. He mentioned you, and I don't know if I got this right, but he mentioned your daughter? Anyway, I just had to see if you're okay since. . . well, he had Alex too."
