"You're nervous?" Abi asked incredulously.
"Yes I'm nervous!" I exclaimed, waving my arms ever so dramatically in the air. "There's so much that could go wrong!"
Abigail rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest. "Darling, you're doing this for the second time." She pointed out.
"Abi, that's not even the same thing!" I simply stated.
She sighed deeply and turned to Alysha. "Be a doll and calm the woman down?" She requested.
Alysha grinned at Abi and then they both came at me, each grabbing one of my shoulders and pushing me down on the bench that stood before the make-up table.
"Mimosas. . . or this?" Alysha then asked, pulling a joint from her purse.
"Jesus no!" I scoffed. "I just need a moment, alright? Oh my god."
"Mimosas it is."
I groaned and buried my face into my hands. My heart was racing and I just couldn't seem to calm down. This was crazy. I definitely wasn't as nervous the first time I did this. Why the hell was I so nervous now?
The creaking of a door opening finally pulled me from my thoughts. "For the last time, no seeing the bride before the wedding! It's bad luck!" Abi squealed.
"It would be. . . but I'm not the one marrying her this time."
I looked up with a questioning frown, only to find none other than Oli standing in the doorway, a smug smile plastered on his face.
"Oli!" I yelled, practically pushing Alysha and Abi off me as I shot up and made my way towards him. "So glad you could make it." I then said to him as I hugged him.
He smiled and wrapped his arms back around me. "Of course. . . someone has to be the one to object when this whole thing goes down." He murmured.
I pulled back and gave him a playful punch to his chest. "Ha ha, very funny." I said, glaring at him a little.
He grinned widely. "I'm just kidding, love." He then admitted, kissing my forehead briefly.
Believe it or not, after everything, Oli and I remained to be pretty close friends. It freaked Vic the fuck out at first, but I assured him that he didn't need to worry and that I'd make sure that Oli would keep his still grudge-filled comments to himself.
I stepped back and smiled, swaying a little to show off the dress. "What do you think?" I wanted to know.
Oli shrugged a little. "I think the one you wore at our wedding was nicer." I rolled my eyes. "Did you make it yourself this time?"
"Of course not." I laughed. "I designed it but I got someone else to make it for me."
"And I bet you gave the tailor a very hard time about it." Oli remarked, sighing with amusement.
"You know me so well." I admitted, grinning lightly. It was true. . . I drove the tailor mad. I knew what quality dresses were, and I was constantly looking down on the tailor's fingers while she put the dress together. She got so frustrated a few times that she ended up almost sowing her own fingers to the damn thing. But I had been down that road too.
"Anyway, I want you to meet someone." Oli then finally said, moving back to the door and signaling for someone to come inside.
A really pretty raven-haired girl walked inside. Her skin was so white it looked like porcelain and her eyes were a bright blue. She was stunning, to be honest. Damn.
