CHAPTER 26

 Chapter 26:

~ James' POV ~

I'm always beside Kelsi no matter where she goes. Sometimes she gets annoyed and mad but I can't help it. I'm in love.

"You really are hooked up." Carlos appears on my side.

I smile crazily and nod.

We were at Kelsi's class looking at her, amused.

"What are you going to do with her when the camp ends?" Carlos randomly asks.

"I want her to be mine." I state.

~ Kelsi's POV ~

James is always there wherever I go. I’m not annoyed but I feel shy and my movements are limited because of consciousness. His looks, his smile, it's making my heart beats fast.

"Ok. That's for today." I say, dismissing my class.

I go to the table to get my clipboard.

"Done already?" James popped in my back.

"Yeah."

"Are you two an item now?" A familiar voice came in.

I turn to look at it, Carlos smiles at me wiggling his eyebrows.

"An item?" I ask, confused.

"You know, like boyfriend and girlfriend." He adds.

James looks at me, raising both of his eyebrows. I look away at his stare, blushing.

"N...no" I say.

"Burn." Carlos chuckles.

I see James pouts and frown but then he quickly gives me a smile.

I didn't mean to hurt him but I just say the truth.

~ James' POV ~

When I get the time to be alone with Kelsi, I ask her about us.

"Do you like someone?" I ask holding her hands.

"Huh? Umh.." Kelsi stutters, making her face turns into pink.

I lightly squeeze her hands and look at her eyes, our eyes locked making her blush even more.

"Do you like me?" I ask with another question.

She nods and shyly smiles.

I smile back, a broadly smile and hug her tight.

~ Kelsi's POV ~

James hugs me and repeatedly kisses my forehead. He seems really happy and so I am. This is the first time I felt this way.

It’s just 20th day of the camp yet I fell in love quickly, maybe he's different. Yeah, he's really different.

"So, can you be my girlfriend?" He asks, leaning his forehead to mine.

I shyly smile and nod.

"You're different." He says, his minty warm breathe brush my nose.

He was about to kiss me when we heard somebody calling my name.

"Kelsi??" A familiar voice called.

I look at it and its Caitlyn.

"Cait." I say as I pull back from James.

~ Caitlyn's POV ~

I'm looking for Kelsi because Mitch asks me to.

When I stepped in the cabin, I saw James and Kelsi was about to kiss. I was surprise on what I saw, surprise and at the same time broke.

"Cait." She stepped back from James.

"Umh. M-mitch is looking for y-you." I stutter.

"Umh. Ok. I'll go now." She gave me a sweet smile then look at James as he winks at her and she run out.

My feelings were unexplainable. I'm hurt. Broken.

"Best friend." James widely grins.

"W-what?" I ask, nervously.

"She's mine now." He says, can't erase his smile on his face.

"Whaaaat??" I unintentionally shout, shocked.

"Aren’t you happy?" He pouts playfully.

"I... Of course I'm happy." I say looking down and holding back my tears.

They are official couple now? It's painful, really painful inside. My heart is breaking into pieces. I know that I'm really stupid for this feeling of mine to him but I can’t help it. Even though I get myself busy away from him, my world is turning up-side-down.

"C-congrats anyway." I say, giving him a fake smile.

"Thanks! You're the BEST friend ever." He hugs me tight and pats my head.

No, no I'm not.

I deeply sigh.
