My eyes fluttered open, and I groaned when the sunlight hit them through the shades. I remembered what had happened the night before and I quickly rolled over to check my phone. Nothing. I sighed and decided to get ready. Walking over to my closet, I picked out a blue t-shirt with black flared jeans. Again, with holes. I put on a gray jacket and slipped on my normal gray all-star shoes. Wow, gray is obviously a favorite, I thought to myself.
I heard my phone start to buzz on my bed, and ran over to it excitedly. It was a text. I confusedly answered, and 'Nick' lit up the screen instead of 'Patrick'. I huffed. Nick said, "Morning. What happened with you and the Ginger after I went home?" and his famous signature "PASTAAA" followed. I gasped and replied, "Nothing, absolutely nothing, shut up!"
I wondered if Patrick had said anything...no, he wouldn't do that.
I continued getting ready, brushing my teeth, and listened to the television. Spongebob Squarepants!
Erin's P.O.V.
I honestly couldn't even believe what'd happened. It was so weird, how Hannah freaked out like that, and then she turned out to be right. It was just too much. If that thing followed us from the Cafe, who knows where else it would follow?! But right now, I had bigger problems. I stepped out of my room and towards the bathroom, only to find my older sister in there, straightening her hair. I groaned; she takes forever.
I decided to go ahead on put on my make-up while I waited for her. Today was another day of Fall Break, and tomorrow would be the last day of it. So, I had to make today and tomorrow count, before I had to go back to school. I walked back to my room and rummaged through my jewelry box. Picking out my eyeliner, eyeshadow and mascara, I flopped back onto my bed and pulled out the little hand mirror, getting straight to work.
At least five minutes later, I walked back into the bathroom. I figured Elise, my sister, had been in there for a while before I came the first time, because she was gone, now. I shrugged and straightened my hair, the twisted blonde curls turning to satin-smooth waterfalls, cascading down around my head. I didn't necessarily like the way I looked in this thick black t-shirt, but I didn't necessarily like any of my clothes. Scratch that, I liked my clothes, I just didn't like me in them. I sighed.
Walking back to my room, I checked my phone. Hannah had texted me. She said, "OH MY GOD YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT!!!! :)!!!!" Geez, excited, much? It must not've been about the whole crazy stalker guy, so I texted back, "What happened?"
As I awaited her reply, I quickly checked my Facebook on the desktop in my room. I had about a zillion pokes, and I updated my status as, "Going out. Peace!"
My phone rang softly on the bed, indicating another message. I snatched it from the wrinkled folds of my bedsheets and clicked 'View'. "PATRICK KISSED ME!!!!!!!!!!!!! <3<3<3!" I was stunned. After all this time, he finally got the nerve....but a twinge of jealousy pinched my nerves, before I could stop it. "Really?!?" I replied.
I decided to go take a nice walk. Maybe that would help me clear my mind. My jeans fit snugly along my legs, and my tennis shoes made no noise against the wooden hallway floor as I made my way towards the front door. I had oddly not seen or heard anyone since I saw Elise in the bathroom....they, too, must've been getting ready for the day in their rooms, or something. I yelled to the empty living room, "I'm gonna go take a walk! I'll be back in a little bit!" I didn't hear any reply and softly sighed as I stepped out into the cold morning air.
I walked along the road, for my street didn't have a sidewalk. I cut past a corner to Wellington Park, walking along the trail. I usually hung out in the small 'forest'. It was actually just a bunch of trees in the middle of the jogging park, but no one ever saw me, for some reason. Making sure no one was watching, I snuck over to the wooded middle and only let out my breath when I reached it, not even realizing I was holding my breath in the first place until I let it go.
