"Blaze. Awaken." I heard a familiar deep rumble rouse me from my slumber. I swatted at it. "Mmm, five more minutes...." I groaned. I rolled over on the couch, and felt strong arms lift me up. I fluttered my eyes open to the dark room, the fire now smoldering embers. "You must come with me. Now." The voice growled. I didn't protest. I saw the faint outline of the bed, squinting through the darkness, and thought about Erin. But I wouldn't be looking at her for more than a few seconds longer. Soon, I heard a rummaging through the bookshelf, and a hidden doorway opened it's gaping maw to us. "I can walk, you know," I grumbled. He didn't respond, just put me down. I followed him into the black doorway, and closed the door before Erin awoke as well.

Hannah's P.O.V.

What are we gonna do?? I thought. Should we go looking for her?? No, that wouldn't be right...we should wait for the cops to take care of it. Lexington's finest, I suppose...

I sighed. What my exact emotions were at that moment, I couldn't tell. All I knew was the fact that my heart dropped into my stomach, though I could feel it pumping much faster than it should. The blood roared in my ears, like a hungry lion. There's no way I can sleep. I thought to myself. I sat up, tossing the covers away from me. I sighed, glancing up through the blinds at the dark sky. The full moon glittered brightly, shining down upon the grass below and bathing the night in its silvery glow. I grumbled to myself as I opened the window, chilly air greeting me instantly. I sat on the sill, staring dreamily at the stars.

A cold gust of wind blew past, giving me goosebumps. I shivered, wrapping my arms around myself and rubbing my arms to warm up. It didn't really work. I looked out at the ground, the forest in the distance. A busy road, then a forest. How insane? Anyway....I looked out at it, the breeze ruffling the grass, its tiny blades seemed to shine under the moon. I stared at the hypnotically glittering tendrils and I swear, I saw something...moving. Behind a tree. It was so far in the distance that I couldn't really tell, so I just shrugged it off and stood back up. Closing the window, I climbed back in bed, and willed, begged sleep to come.

Chasing a boy through the trees, to a small wooden cabin in the distance, panting for air. He looked so scared, trying to shake me off his trail, his features growing more and more desperate by the second. I knew he had her. I knew it. He slammed into the front door, not even bothering to unlock it. It exploded from its hinges and collapsed to the ground, dust stirring up like an angry storm cloud. The dry, cracked wood groaned underneath his black tennis shoes as he ran on top of it, me sprinting after him. He wouldn't get away, not now or ever....

He's the one who took her. He physically grabbed her and took her away to an unfamiliar place, somewhere she would be all by herself, awaiting the torture that surely was to befall her. I had sat around, waiting for the damned police to find a trail, but they came up empty. I put the matter into my own hands and stumbled upon him. The boy hidden by the shadows...somehow I knew it was all his fault. I raced to catch up to him as he thundered down a staircase, a large bookshelf looming to the left and a strange...laboratory on the right. Chemicals bubbled from vials, ranging in all sorts of hue, but now was no time to observe. Now was the time for action.

He disappeared. In the short time it took me to follow him downstairs, he was gone. Vanished, like a spec of dust floating in the wind. Invisible. Gone. I was so dumbfounded. I searched every inch, corner, nook and cranny of the basement and came out empty-handed. I had to get out of here...the place was giving me the creeps. Suddenly I heard a deep voice booming from behind me, 'You're not supposed to be here!'

Gasping, nearly screeching, I sat up in bed before I knew I was still in bed. I glanced around, searching for the basement I thought I'd just entered, but saw my own bedroom instead. The next morning was finally here, I realized, rubbing my still-tired eyes and stretching as I sat up. I didn't bother to check my phone. Instead, I drowsily stood and walked to the bathroom, like every morning. I decided to take a shower, to calm my still-frayed nerves. Wow, just a dream....
