I didn't even think of alerting the others of him, but I ran faster than I had ever run in my life towards him. I leaped over a tiny suitcase on a metal rack and advanced towards him. Before he could move, I tackled him, wrestling him to the ground and pinning both his arms down. He was instantly powerless, and writhed feebly underneath my death grip around his wrists. I sat on his chest, preventing him from escaping.
"Where is she?!" I growled, a low, gravely voice replacing my own. I sounded so intimidating, even to myself. It sure seemed to work on him. A tiny bead of sweat formed on his temple. "I-I don't know what you're-"
"Don't pretend you don't know!" I hissed. "You have her hidden away somewhere, in a dark log cabin in the middle of the woods. I SAW it in my dreams!!!!" I fiercely spat, and his eyes grew wide with terror. It was then when I noticed the blood still leaking from his arm. It was collecting near my shoe, and I shuffled it unemotionally away from the collective red puddle. I didn't want my shoes stained. Luckily, I had tackled this guy behind a large pile of suitcases and a wall, so no one saw us. I grinned evilly.
"Please, let me go!" He struggled and strained underneath my fingertips but I clamped tighter, forcing him to wince in pain. "I can't feel my fingertips!" He whimpered. "Oh, grow a pair, you sniveling little coward!!!" I emphasized the last word with anger. He was NOT getting away with stealing my best friend! "You tell me where she is right this instant or I swear to the holy heavens and God himself I will tear you apart, limb from limb, burn your pieces, scatter the ashes in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and bury your head in my backyard and DANCE ON YOUR MAKE-SHIFT GRAVE!" I shouted with more ferocity than I had ever come across in my own emotional pallet. I was so furious, so caught up in the moment, I didn't know what I would do to him. He must've known I was dead serious when I said it, and his face turned a sickly pale white.
"I wasn't the one who took her," He muttered. "But I was taken by the same-"
"LIES!!" I spat. He shrank deeper into the floor. "Please," He begged, his eyes clouding with tears, "You're hurting me...let me go and I'll tell you!" He grovelled. I loosened my grip slightly but still held on. "I don't believe you." I muttered darkly. He wrenched his way out of my iron grip and rubbed his hands together, trying to return the blood to them. I guess I didn't know my own strength...
"She....she's just the first......" He whispered from underneath me. I leaned down close and whispered back, "Who's next?" He looked over one of the low-stacked suitcases and pointed to my group of friends. I felt more tears make their way into my eyes and one slipped out, plopping softly onto his black t-shirt, leaving a tiny wet spot. He stared at me incredulously, as if someone so evil couldn't be crying. I held my head in my hands and sobbed. There's nothing I can do, I thought, there's no way I can save them all....
He shuffled uncomfortably underneath me. He started to slide out from under me, but I grabbed his wrists again. "What's your name?" I asked. He was obviously taken aback. "B-Blaze," He sort of unwillingly blurted. I let go of his hands and he wriggled his way out. He ran away, straight into the crowd of my friends. I instantly bolted after him, planning on skinning his sorry hide right then....
Nick looked, bewildered, at us, a speeding stampede headed straight for him. Anna had joined the original three, at some point during my "interrogation" of sorts. He shoved past them all, flying out the door and down the stairs. He sprinted in some random direction, away from the hotel with the crazy best friend on a rampage against him.
"Was that...?" Patrick started to ask. "It was him." I nodded. "Then why aren't you chasing him?!" Rachel incredulously questioned. "I already did. I had him pinned to the ground so tight he begged me to let go. He couldn't feel his fingers...." I murmured. They looked absolutely stunned. "He said he knows where she is, in a cabin in the woods." I lied about where I got the information. "He says that we're all going next, and that his name is Blaze." I concluded. They sat in silence for a few seconds more.
