All I Ever Wanted

When she was born,

she was everything I ever wanted.

I wanted to watch her grow.

She became my life force.

When she cries,

It feels like rain on my heart

but when she laughs,

The whole world brightens

Now that I am seeing her grow,

she is everything I hoped she would be.

She is the essence that keeps my reality from falling apart.

She is my life force.

She is so innocent,

yet has been through so much.

I try to protect her and keep her safe,

But I can't protect her from everything.

For as long as I can,

I will stay a part of her life.

She is my everything.

She will always be my life force.
