My Superhero

I always thought I was independent

I thought I didn't need anyone.

Then you came along

And I realized that all I needed was you.

I stopped wanting to hurt

I started wanting to be happy.

You made me smile more than I ever intended

And laugh more that I have in a long time. 

You saved with your presence and love

I always thought I could save myself

But it turns out I wasn't my own savior. 

I needed a superhero. 

I needed you.
