Why do you push me away?
Looking at you from a distance,
You seem to need assistance.
So down and blue,
I wish I could help you.
I am being held at bay,
Why do you push me away?
Seeing you there crying,
Makes me feel like dying.
Seeming so scared,
And unprepared.
My heart reaches out to you everyday,
Why do you push me away?
Life stops when you're not near,
I want you to know I'm here.
Your emotions are haywire,
Essence burning out like a fire.
You have run astray,
Why do you push me away?
Locked inside is hidden pain,
Your tears running in the rain.
Dead is your soul,
Buried deep in a hole.
Seeing eveything in gray,
Why do you push me away?
