Later, Hugo was reading a book when Amber said, "You know, Hugo, perhaps you should give Sofia a special gift like bubble bath or perfume."
"But Sofia is allergic to that stuff," Hugo frowned.
"That's okay," Amber said. "We can make her a special perfume that won't make her sneeze."
Hugo wasn't so sure, but he said, "Okay, so where do we start?"
"First, we need to find anything that smells very good," Amber explained. "Then we'll mix it up together and put it in a bottle."
"Okay," Hugo said.
Amber and Hugo searched for as many aromas as they could. Hugo found some roses, lilacs, and lavenders. Amber found some pinecones, oranges, cinnamon, and body powder.
After finding so many good aromas, Amber and Hugo got a hot pot of water and mixed the aromas together.
"How long do we stir it, Amber?" Hugo asked.
"Just until it smells good," Amber said. "Let's smell it and see if it's ready."
Hugo stopped stirring, and he and Amber took a sniff of the mixture. But Amber was speechless, and all Hugo could say was, "Ewe! That smells horrible!"
"Oh, what are we going to do?" Amber sighed.
"We should dump this before anyone else smells it," Hugo suggested.
