Erza POV

Where is she? Where is she? I was searching Magnolia for a certain celestial wizard, Lucy. She left her keys in the hall after suddenly running out, no one had any idea why though but it was when I was talking to Mira about Jellal.

Mira placed a mug of beer in front of me
"Thank you Mira" she smiled
"How are things with Jellal?" I sighed, in truth the guy had been asking me out for over a month I was getting annoyed with him
"Good I guess...he keeps asking me out"
"You gonna give him a answer" I shrugged
"I don't know Mira...i'll have to wait and see"
Lucy who was sitting with Levy stood up and ran out of the guild hall, we watched as she ran off further into town. I stood up and saw her keys were sitting on the table, I picked them up and ran my armoured fingers over them
"Erza...?" I looked at Mira "go after her..." She was holding something back from me, I knew she was but right now I wasn't going to question her right now I wanted to find Lucy. Levy walked over to me "Erza...don't judge her" I looked at her
"why?"
"I won't say why just go and find her" I nodded and ran out of the guild hall.

I was in the middle of town and still had no sight of her. I sighed Lucy where can you be? I stood and pondered then I remembered something Lucy told me a while back.

"There's a lake in the forest, it's surrounded by the trees and the water is crystal clear...I go there when I have a lot on my mind"

The forest! I ran towards the nearby forest, I couldn't see the river but as I drove deeper and deeper I heard the sound of running water. I slowed down and as I manoeuvred through the trees I saw the river and the celestial mage. Lucy was sitting on a fallen over tree trunk, tears falling from her eyes. I approached her slowly "Lucy?" She froze and stood up frantically wiping the tears from her eyes "E-Erza?" She sat back down and looked at the river, I sat next to her and gave her her keys. She smiled slightly and attached them to her belt
"Why were you crying?"
"It doesn't matter Erza" her voice was quiet, the pain was evident in her voice
"It does to me...you're my best friend" she closed her eyes trying to hide her pain from me
"I told you it doesn't matter...go back to the guild"
"No"
"Erza-"
"I said no...I'm not leaving until you tell me what's wrong" she sighed and passed me a note she had grasped in hand
"Read this...it'll explain everything" she stood up and walked away

Hey Erza
I know this will be a long shot but...I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner sometime. Like a date. I've liked you for a while now since I joined in fact but if you were a lesbian you'd probably go out with someone stronger then me. You're probably wondering why I didn't ask you in person and I wrote this. Well my answer is simple...I'm scared, not of you but your reaction to this. I'm also scared about the entire guild finding out about my feelings for you and being rejected. I've never felt more safe here then I did back at home and I don't want to lose anyone. If you don't feel the same way that's fine, I only want you to be happy and if that's with Jellal I suppose I can live with the heartache I can cope with it and move on...

Lucy

Tears were flowing down my left side. Lucy...I didn't realise I was causing her this much pain
"Don't judge her" this is why Levy told me not to judge her, why Lucy ran off, why she didn't say anything to me...she was-is in love with me. That girl is stronger then me, she's also like me. Doesn't want to cry in front of everyone. Oh Lucy, I'm so sorry for what you've been through, you won't be rejected be anyone...especially not from me. I stood up and walked in the direction where Lucy had walked. I found her talking to Jellal. I hid behind a tree and watched the scene unfold
"Lucy are you sure?" She nodded
"I'm sure...I don't want to bother her anymore" she was crying again...she passed her keys to Jellal
"Why though?"
"I'm leaving Magnolia...and I'm giving her my keys so that she'll be protected by my spirits" Jellal sighed
"Lucy...she'll look for you, you know what she's like" she nodded "I know that's why I'll leave in the night...just promise me something"
"Anything"
"You'll take care of my knight"
"I promise" I started crying, Lucy don't leave me. I came out of my hiding spot and stood behind Jellal and Lucy
"Don't go" my voice was small and quiet Lucy turned around
"Erza how long were you standing there?" "Long enough...Lucy please don't leave me" she sighed softly and walked over to me "Erza I have to go...me staying it'll only cause us both trouble besides you have Jellal you'll forget about me" I shook my head
"How can I forget about the one I love?"
"What?"
"Lucy..." I kneeled my body wracked with tears "...I love you, I always have and to lose you I wouldn't have a reason to live" Jellal smiled and placed the keys near Lucy, he walked away
"But Jellal?"
"He's a brother to me nothing more and now I think he realises why I rejected him...Lucy please" I re quipped into my normal clothes showing Lucy my true self. She kneeled in front of me and pulled me to her
"Erza...I won't leave you...shh it's alright baby" warmth covered my body, I cried into her shoulder
"I love you Lucy" I wrapped my arms around her, the legendary Titania was in tears but I didn't care, Lucy was my queen and I was her prince. I pulled away and gently kissed her, her lips felt like velvet and soon enough our lips were moving in perfect sync. We were now as one and nothing would take that from us.
