The next day
Casey woke up the next morning in shock.
Gabby asked him if he had a nightmare about the events of yesterday.
Casey reassured Gabby he was fine and gave her a kiss on the top of her head before going down the stairs.
Down the stairs
Severide was drinking some coffee when Casey came down the stairs.
Casey told Severide good morning and then he went to go get some coffee.
He then walked to the spot where Katya was.
Severide grabbed his shoulder and told him that if he wanted he could take off shift.
Casey looked at Severide and said that he's good before finishing his coffee and going to get ready for his shift.
